T O P I C R E V I E WBornUnderDioscuriI know that the houses aren't always perfectly equal but my friend's chart is pretty darn odd. Her first and 7th house encompasses about 2.5 signs. Her first house includes Aquarius (mid way), Pisces and Aries... While her 9th and 10th house both fit into Sagittarius. I was just wondering why that would be the case and how that would work? AzalakshHi BUD People who are born in far north or south latitudes can have houses that large/small.....BornUnderDioscuriThanks a ton Zala! Thats curious. This girl isn't born too far north from me. She is from Moscow and im from Kiev, Ukraine. But that does make sense because people that I know from the north do seem to have different house measurements. Thats very cool. Why does that happen if I may ask? Actually now that I look at it a lot of people I know from same area as me have really wide house spacings for some. Guess im the weird one lol. Thank you a ton! Geocosmic ValentineIn addition to it being far North or South latitudes, it can be the time of year, for example: I was born in New York in April shortly after sunrise and my 6th and 12th house are very wide, encompassing three signs as well. I noticed the same thing for Al Gore and he was born in Tennessee which is much further south than New York, but mainly, it's what Azalaksh said. One day, take a look at Ann Margret's chart.Wait, hold on, let me see if I can get her data for you:Here it is: 4/28/1941 4:30 AM CET Valsjobyn, SwedenYou'll notice that she has every planet in her 12th house except for Pluto and Neptune. The planets stretch from the middle of Aquarius to the end of Taurus.Fascinating, isn't it.Geocosmic ValentineProfessional Astrologergeocosmicvalentine@yahoo.com: www.myspace.com/geocosmicvalentine ------------------"Everybody is a star!"Sly & The Family StonedarkdreamerI used to think that horoscopes with such wide or narrow houses aren`t readable. But the interesting thing is I recently have been proven wrong.A Swedish friend of mine has such a horoscope, where the ASC is on 14° cancer and the IC is on 14° Leo.I did two interpretations for her, one based on Placidus-houses, one based on equal houses. And I sent her both intepretations. It was very early in our friendship, so I didn`t know THAT much about her.but the Placidus one seemed to have been spot on. So, I decided to stick to Placidus.DDGeocosmic ValentineYou're absolutely correct. The Placidus houses work when you know how to read a chart correctly, there is no need to switch to equal houses. This kind of chart is perfect to prove that Equal Houses are not necessary. That's not to say that Equal Houses don't work, it seems to work differently for every astrologer, but I use the Placidus.Geocosmic Valentine------------------"Everybody is a star!"Sly & The Family StoneBornUnderDioscuriWow thats absolutely awesome. Thanks for the help guys. I was just thrown off by my friend's chart.wild sheepHoly crap! quote:You'll notice that she has every planet in her 12th houseThat's...a lot of 12th house emphasis.
