T O P I C R E V I E WHunkOfRopeWhich sign makes the best kind of mother?Which sign should never have kids?SattvicMoonA good Mother does not have anything to do with signs, but character and compassion.augentierLoaded questions, you won't get a solid answer because there isn't one.I think my mom is amazing, she does *everything* for me and my siblings, and works her @$$ off on top of it..she is always there for us. She's a Cancer/Leo cusp, Cancer rising, Aries moon I think that *I* should never have kids because I can't stand most of them, and have no motherly instincts or desire to raise another human being for 18+ years. I have Mars in the fifth, square my Moon..I have read a few times that these signify trouble/difficulty in raising children.------------------Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moonMercury:: SagittariusVenus::ScorpioMars::PiscesHunkOfRopeAy.belgzok well..... CERES has something to do with parenting and that sort of stuff. It makes you that motherly type. Eg: MY brother is an aquarius moon in gemini with taurus rising and hes very motherly type more than me !! considering im the cancerian.. HE has ceres conjunct sun. Usually people who identify their pets as their own children have ceres prominent in their charts..MY ex has ceres conjunct asc and moon and is very motherly and caring.------------------ASC: Virgo Sun: CancerMoon: GeminiMars: CancerMercury: CancerVenus: Leoblue moonSun Conjunct Ceres.Me, not the cat. But I always say astrology doesn't determine you, in the sense that there is still a chance to make changes, it's not like your're doomed by your chart. Anyhow, I also think that being a good mother depends on the child. For example, I know a family of seven children and one has moon in cancer, others have moon in acquarius, etc. So, the mother is the same one, but each child has a different experience. One finds her caring and nurturing, while another sees her cold, distant and erratic. So I think it is helpful to look at the chart to see what difficulties one might have with children, but I wouldn't use a astrology to determine a bad parent because that's not giving the person chances. we should use the chart as a tool to see our weaknesses and strengths as parents and try to make the necessary changes. lalalindaThere are several things to look atPlanets in CancerPlanets in the 4th houseand the MoonYou're nuturing qualities are seen through the Moon sign/house/aspects.Selfish, self centered, narcisistic people(anyone need the signs and aspects of these? ) should wait untill they mature so that they don't resent the responsibilities (putting someone else first) that motherhood brings.starrymi was about to say my Aries mom was the best mom a girl could have.. but then I realize that's what everyones gonna say.. "A good Mother does not have anything to do with signs, but character and compassion."dittoSolo_fishI was reading Liz Greene last night and she said something I will never forget. I will try to get the meaning right. People don't come to her because they believe in astrology. They come to her because they are looking for answers to questions for circumstances or events in their lives. I happen to agree with this. I always tell people, it doesn't matter if you believe in something if it is wrong. The truth is the truth whether you believe in it or not. And truth has a duality to it, like the opposite signs in the zodiac. Anyways, if someone has a contradiction to throw at me, I'd appreciate it, because iron sharpens iron! I just want to apologize for trying to sound like a know it all all the time, in case anyone was feeling that way. Most people don't tell me the truth about that so I will assume it happens most of the time. Thanks.------------------Sun in Pisces, Moon in Aquarius, Ascendant in LibraSolo_fishI forgot to reply to the post in my anxiousness. My mother is a very good mother, although she is very aloof. She has sun in the 3rd house conjunct mercury and jupiter. She has a Sagittarius rising with a Pisces sun. Doesn't seem like she would want to be tied down, but my mother and father have been married for around 40 years. Anyways, I think the stars don't force you to do anything. I used to think that, but everyone can overcome their chart if they want to by conscious choice. If you disbelieve this, you are reading different scholars than I am! Also, you might want to read and/or watch the movie called "The Secret". But once again these are only my opinions. The stars do have an influence on our personality and individuality, but the choices we make are our own. That is my two pennies worth. Take it for what it is! Thanks.SattvicMoonTripleCancer quote:I think being a good mother does have to do with astrology, as so does being a good friend, a good partner, a good person, etc.I do agree, but we also have to keep in mind the power of personal choice (or freewill as many call it).
