T O P I C R E V I E W23OK, there was a few months ago a post raised on what might actually rule Virgo (seems Ceres is a plausible ruler). For the time being it is accepted that Mercury rules both Virgo and Gemini. What is your thought on Venus? This website (below) says that Libra is actually ruled by Earth (and maybe that is why we like for example Libra risings because everyone "identifies" with the projection). http://www.librarising.com/astrology/fwa/rulers.html So does that mean that Venus only rules Taurus? Thoughts please. CoralFrequencyI don't agree with that website much, in general.I think Venus = Libra.Taurus may possibly be ruled or 'co-ruled' by Ceres.I don't think Ceres rules Virgo. It doesn't suit Virgo as much as Taurus, in my opinion. Aries/Libra is an opposite pair. It goes well with the Mars/Venus opposition.Scorpio/Taurus is another opposite pair. I believe Pluto/Ceres would work quite well. If Ceres goes to Virgo, it doesn't make much sense to me considering the Ceres/Pluto/Persephone story. Virgo and Scorpio are sextile, but shouldn't there be a Ceres/Pluto grudge? lol23Maybe Taurus might have a second ruler. I consider Scorpio to be ruled by both Mars and Pluto. If Scorpio has two, then maybe Taurus has two as well. However, Taurus is an early sign so would it be "purer" than others and not have two rulers?diamondbabyHere is my opinion:Taurus is ruled by VenusGemini is ruled by MercuryVirgo is ruled by CeresLibra is ruled by PallasThe way I see it, Venus (an earthy planet) doesn't fit Libra and Mercury (an airy planet) doesn't fit Virgo. Libra is a Cardinal air sign, fair, decisive, ambitious, and intelligent, not the "pretty, dumb blonde" as some suggest it. Same for Virgo, I fail to see Virgo as the "boring, perfectionist secretary". Virgo is an earth sign, sensual and physical and but in a more sophisticated way than Taurus is. There is so much more to these two signs than the way they seem to be with Venus and Mercury as their traditional rulers. I think the archetype of Ceres/Demeter fits Virgo and the archetype of Pallas/Minerva fits Libra perfectly.Aries23DegreesVenus rules both. As someone once said, Venus is on holiday when in Taurus. But "at home" when in Libra. My Venus in Taurus mate is very money-conscious and careful with his spending habits. But I wouldn't describe him as particularly hedonistic. I think that Taurus is very sensitized to sensuality in Venus. But I wouldn't describe it "relaxed" in this position. As most people I know seem more concerned with material security than aesthetics. But I do see the "laziness" and tendency to want things to be free-flowing, aesthetically pleasing and easy when Venus is in Libra. Most Venus in Libra people I meet seem to be in-love with love. Very "taken" by physical beauty and they really find relationships and all things related -as very attractive an attracting. But this is purely a subjective experience and not factual in any way.Kannon McAfeeVenus is the principle of both Taurus and Libra, expressed in a fixed, earthy practical way with Taurus, and in an airy, social, ideational way with Libra.Asteroids are legitimate objects to use in astrology, but they do not 'rule' any sign.
