T O P I C R E V I E Wamowls*Okay, we all know how in regular charts this aspect could never exist, but since Composite charts are not based on real planets we get wacky aspects like this. What do you suppose this means? Sun conjunct Venus in Composite charts is a very lovely aspect to have. I've never really encountered an opposition before I met this dude. I even looked it up in my Composite book by Robert Hand and it's not even listed.Let me start out by saying that this relationship is strictly platonic. This dude is my roommate's friend, and he's been dating his girlfriend for 3 years (she's the only person he's ever slept with too). He semi lives at my house, though, because he hasn't found a place to live yet. He sleeps on an air mattress in my roommate's room. I enjoy his company a lot, he makes me laugh. So yeah, what's your take on this?DDI read in Rob Hand`s book on composites that if such thing appears like Sun-opposition-Venus, you just consider the other midpoint, which is closer to the Sun. So you would see it as a conjunction. It`s what he does and most astrologers, too. I`m not really convinced of that to be honest.Anyway, this one aspect alone doesn`t say much. ON its own it would be lovely and sweet, full of affection, but not necessarily sexual, a great affinity and sympathy towards each other. But other planets could modify that.EighthMoonThis is the short report of the Partner Horoscope from Astrodienst written by Robert Hand:"Sun Opposition Venus This is one of the strongest indications of a love relationship between two people, even in a friendship. It does not primarily indicate a sexual relationship; instead it signifies love, pure and simple. The attraction indicated by this aspect is so powerful that it can bring together people who are incompatible by ordinary criteria. If the relationship is laden with conflicts, even a strong feeling of love between you may turn to hatred. In most cases, however, this will be a very fine personal relationship."It must be the composite Sun opposite Venus, because we don't have Sun opp Ven in synastry, but have it at 2 degrees in composite.I agree with the interp. 8thDDIt is the same interpretation as for the conjunction. comica23This is a beautiful aspect. ^_^ I suppose that it indicates strong emotional/love attraction.EighthMoonYeah...composite sun conj venus is in all of my "unconditional love" relationships. I think that the opposition creates the same feeling and possibly the circumstances that bring that about.(((DD))) 8thMyVirgoMaskI have this aspect with my brother in composite. We get along really, really well - I adore him. We laugh nonstop and talk about whatever and yes, there is a very unconditional love there. He's probably my favorite sibling (ssshhhh, don't tell the others)I think it's nice overall for any kind of relationship. ShankaraI had this in the composite with my ex, by 2 degrees (In Gem and Sag). We also had Pluto sextile both Jupiter and Saturn, both by one degree, and Uranus conjunct Mercury by 2 degrees, and Saturn square Mercury by 2 degrees. It was a really bad relationship, with lots of fighting (physical violence towards the end), manipulation, etc. But maybe the Sun-Venus opp drew us together when we shouldn't have been compatible at all? Or maybe the opposition isn't so great?MyVirgoMaskThe opposition isn't bad. But it's just an aspect. And a single beautiful aspect isn't going to redeem a crap relationship. I had Sun/Venus conjunction in the composite with my ex, along with some other beautiful things. It wasn't a good relationship overall, in fact it bordered on abusive toward the end. It's up to the two people, not up to the chart.ItsKikigirlHey this topic is a bit old now but just wanted to add a comment to it I have sun contraparallel Venus 1.32degrees. I wonder if that Would that count and if it would apply the same as the opposition?
