T O P I C R E V I E WDelilahI know some of you may be tired to death of this subject, but I just came across a site that explains multiple ways to get an answer that's realistic: http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/rosemurray/WhenMarry.html Would any of you mind giving it a go to see if any of it works for you?If you haven't guessed it by now, love and marriage are my astro obsessions roadwarriorsdp quote:Originally posted by Delilah:I know some of you may be tired to death of this subject, but I just came across a site that explains multiple ways to get an answer that's realistic: http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/rosemurray/WhenMarry.html Would any of you mind giving it a go to see if any of it works for you?If you haven't guessed it by now, love and marriage are my astro obsessions I'm going to read that but here is my experience.IF the north node is close to the sun, the person will go for the north node as a first love....if the north node is far, he may go for a similar sun sign, especialy if the sun is anywhere near the 7th or 8th.If the person has a 1st house sun, and say a suqare north node, he or she may go simply for the sign or energy in the seventh house.Based on my studies, rarely do people match up wiht both mars and venus, but most often both venus's are matched. That's my experience with 20 charts i've done this month. This is mostly for first loves or marriages based on no knowledge of astrology, usually when the person finds astrology, the decision is influenced, and therefore the result or timing will be catalysed....or unseperable from the reaction to teh chart...and therefore mute in demonstrating or prediction.Agent_009[Quote from Article]: "Well, if Venus aligns with Mars, and "the Moon is in the seventh house," or some other romantic combination, you might be in a marriage year.I often spot potential marriage years in this way, especially when the planetary ruler of the first house (symbolizing you) forms a harmonious relationship with the ruler of your seventh house (indicating a partner.)"I'm nowhere near marriage...but I think this really works, & it's really tripp'n me out!I've been told by 2 psychics I'll meet a major soulmate in 5yrs time, & may even get hitched.I just checked my progressions for 5yrs from now. My Chart ruler (Venus), P-Venus is trining N-Mars (by half a deg), with P-Moon in my 7H. ChaosGuess I'll never marry, just like I planned...Or maybe later in life...much later...Mars is far away from the Sun, but it's closer to the Moon...they're 34 degrees apart...Venus is 47 degrees apart from my Sun, and quite far from my moon...But, there's a thing...ASC/DSC...Mars & Venus both show the same...30!...So, maybe that would be the year of my 1st marriage...Hmmm...DelilahAgent and Chaos, for me it looks like I will have met someone by the time I turn 27. I'll let everyone know in about a year if things are headed that way.Roadwarrior, I don't think it's true that knowledge of astrology will catalyse the timing of marriage. I've been studying astrology on and off since I was 18. I've used these methods before and came up with three ages- 19, 24, and 27. I'm 25 now and wasn't in the least bit tempted to get married at 19 or 24. By the way, my progressed Venus loosely conjuncts my Sun. When the orb was tighter I didn't meet anyone. So there are some parts that are believable, but from my own experience/disappointment it doesn't work for everyone.LonakeOh this is funnySomeone who wants to marry me has his natal Sun conj my Progressed Moon/Venus (in Aquarius). How come no one with their natal Sun in Capricorn wants to marry me as I have natal Moon/Venus in Capricorn? lols...Interesting..I'll let you know.Progressed Sun (chart ruler) is now @ 00 AriesNatal Uranus (DSC ruler) is at 04'30 SagittariusSo it's not that close yet. When I'm in my 40s then progressed Venus will conj Natal SunRight now my Progressed DSC is conj my natal Sun, tho not close in orb, 5 degreesProgressed Moon is conjunct Progressed Venus in the 7th house, 1 degree..."but from my own experience/disappointment it doesn't work for everyone."Wonder what houses Venus rules for you, as well as Sun, if you don't mind sharing?DelilahLonake, my 4th and 5th houses are ruled by Venus and my 8th by Sun. Right now my progressed Venus is at 7 degrees Libra and my natal Sun is at 5 degrees Libra. LonakeThis is your thread so I feel safe to derail What changes in your home, around the time of this conj, if any? Or regard to your children/creative projects?BTW Venus is gonna rule the Taurus house cusp and the Libra house cusp.DelilahActually, when the orb was tighter I moved to another country that I've fallen in love with. Don't know why I didn't think of that before. I haven't dated anyone here, but am coping quite well. Taurus is on the cusps of both my 4th and 5th houses. Libra is in my 9th, but isn't the ruler. Thank you for giving me a different perspective on this.LonakeThanks for adding your details, it's always interesting how this conjunction plays out.I like that you used the word love to display how you feel about the country..it's interesting.Alderica quote:Originally posted by Delilah:I know some of you may be tired to death of this subject, but I just came across a site that explains multiple ways to get an answer that's realistic: http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/rosemurray/WhenMarry.html Would any of you mind giving it a go to see if any of it works for you?If you haven't guessed it by now, love and marriage are my astro obsessions Blimey. There are 30 degrees between my moon and my Mars: I met my husband when I was 30.I'm now 42 and we have both moved on.... my Sun and Venus are 45 degrees apart, let's see what happens in 3 years time! *lol*blugrey quote:If the person has a 1st house sun, and say a suqare north node, he or she may go simply for the sign or energy in the seventh house.Funnily enough this is my exact chart and I definitely am pulled to my 7th house.blugreyWell... my Moon is almost opposite my Mars. lol My Sun and Venus are like.... 12 degrees.I guess the only one that could count is Venus/Mars. My Venus is a 12 Degrees Gemini, my Mars is at 13 degrees Cancer. 31? That's about what I was planning anyway! hahaAlso there are 27 degrees from my Desc to my Moon.... 32 from Asc to Venus.... All those are good ages to me. I'm not sure how exactly she sees the second marriages though. This seems a bit of like picking straws. I'm sure we all have something that could fit this. vertiverInteresting thread, can't seem to figure it out though. Only significant progression for me is P. Moon opposite natal Venus, also P. Moon will conjunct natal Saturn/Uranus. Either way I'm never getting married, until same-sex marriage is legal in this country! DelilahMarriage equality, or just flat out equality, should have been a reality from the beginning of time. I don't know, nor am I predicting, if it'll be so in this lifetime. However, if DADT can be repealed why can we not give same sex couples the exact respect and rights as heterosexual couples too? Maybe it will happen soon. Hope you're ready to take the plunge Vertiver I checked my transit and progressed charts a little while ago. T Saturn will conjunct my natal Juno and vice versa at the end of this year into the next. My progressed Juno will conjunct my natal Saturn as well. Then, in the summer of next year, my T Jupiter will occupy my 5th house until the year after and will conjunct T Venus in the same house for a bit. I'm hoping to fall in love with someone who loves me back at some point in my life. To dream....LonakeWell Saturn is still in Libra so there is some hope on that front.DelilahLonake, in a bid to not drive myself crazy I'm only considering a tight orb and that won't happen until December. Saturn and Juno will be or are in retrograde.specialistangelMarriage? Is that about the 7th house? Or about Juno?My Juno is in the 6th house, does that mean I'll meet my marriage partner at work, or that my marriage partner will be sick, or marriage will make me sick, or the marriage partner will be a health oriented person, a Virgo type? It's interesting, I'd like to find out the proper specification. QuinnieOne question, when you are looking at your progressed chart, and as Rose explains, are checking to see of the 1st and 7th house ruler makes a harmonious aspect, are you looking for the natal asc/dsc rulers or the prgressed asc/dsc rulers?DelilahSpecial, look at the aspects made to Juno, the 6th and 7th house rulers to each other to maybe find information on the spouse's health. Juno in the 6th house could indicate where you meet your spouse. Don't worry so much about their health with this placement. The aspects are more telling. The spouse may come from a medical field, they may be your co-worker, or you could work in the same field.Quinnie, I think all of the above are techniques worth examining. There is no one way to find out as so many people will attest that various methods worked for them. For me, Juno and Saturn stand out in both of my transit and progressed charts because Juno represents marriage and Saturn is my Ascendant's ruler. Next summer my T Moon will conjunct my natal Moon (7th house ruler), so maybe something will happen.plutoprincessMy Venus is in 29th degree of Aqua.Venus is the ruler of my 7th.a professional astrologer told me once I would be married just before 30...I believe her, but I guess I'll know for sure in a few years :P
Would any of you mind giving it a go to see if any of it works for you?
If you haven't guessed it by now, love and marriage are my astro obsessions

I'm going to read that but here is my experience.
IF the north node is close to the sun, the person will go for the north node as a first love....if the north node is far, he may go for a similar sun sign, especialy if the sun is anywhere near the 7th or 8th.
