coconutcancermoon | I got my son's report card today and his grades went down. He scored HIGH on state exams but is not showing it in grades. Can anyone give me any insight perhaps through his chart and what I can do to encourage him to apply himself? Maybe what drives him? I dunno, anything. I'm just very upset and very desperate. |
dysfunctionalmystic | I'm just on my way to bed so I can't give this the time I'd like to but I'd say structure and discipline could be major issues for him. He has a 12th house saturn in Gemini which can imply a weak or absent father..or it can also mean weak structures connected to learning/communication. He's also got chiron in capricorn which is a wound around authority/status. On a positive note he does have merc con sat which should help him to discipline his mind. Lots of aspects to Uranus so quite restless/high internal energy. Saturn con his north node suggests discipline is something he's learning about this time around and he's got pluto on his south node which suggests clearing away of the past which is in sag... he needs to pay more attention to detail because sag is taking the big picture in whereas gemini has to gather facts and information...so there is a conflict here for him but it can be balanced through learning to do things differently. hope this makes sense, I wouldn't worry too much he's still pretty young and more than capable of doing well, he does have venus in the 3rd which may make him lazy at times and the 3rd house rules early schooling. his mc/ic axis in pisces/virgo further emphasises communication houses 3/6/9/12 all connected to signs gem/pis/sag and virgo...definite theme here |
britterfly | your son was born literally the day before my nephew. he was july 8, 2002. my nephew is very energetic and must have some interest to apply that energy to. in my opinion, my sister allows him to watch far too much television, and i believe that is the reason for his "A.D.D." behavior. he is an unusually bright, intelligent child with a lot of energy, physically and mentally. he excels in fencing. find him some kind of physical sport or activity that also engages his mind. i am sure that would also help him focus in school. also, try finding a school that takes a creative approach to education. the cut and dry, strait forward, "traditional" approach left my nephew with a bad taste in his mouth and he did not apply himself. he now goes to a creative school that caters to his particular interests and learning style, and he is excelling there, as well. he needs an interest to apply himself to, in just the way he wants to do it! good luck. |
Lucia23 | I agree with the comments above. if you don't have a choice about switching schools for him, consider after-school activities...look into independent, free, volunteer organizations that offer homework help. Make reading and homework a fun activity that you do together at home, in fun and interesting ways. You need to stimulate his Gemini Merc. It may be a struggle for him to focus, so build developing reading, writing and math skills into his everyday life in little tiny, bite-sized bits. |
coconutcancermoon | Thank you both I am still calming down right now, but greatly appreciate any input. This means alot to me |
blonderiverkat | Seriously CCM...I haven't been studying Astrology for long, but as a mother of a teen with Sun in Cancer, and his ASC in the 12th house as well...I would serious check out the Indigo topic that has been very active the past several days...there is a wealth of info there, and something tells me you and your son can perhaps relate to some of the info there...Just MPO... VenusDiSirius | Coconutcancermoon,my,what a looong name ,maybe ur soooo cute son is under some crush-spell?? all that girls and their ponytails... |
coconutcancermoon | LoL Venus! Sigh . . . yes, her name is Ezra and he has a cute little temporary tattoo of a flower that is still in his book bag for 3 months that he's scared to give her But his real crush is Sonic the Hedgehog He managed to do his 5 paragraph essay today with no problem because I promised him the computer when he was done. So far so good |
VenusDiSirius | He is so yoooung,no harm... Let him feel careless! When he is teen, gemini will kick the right way so as ur ultraprotective moon even more like every teen,he'll find out couple things he 'really likes' and go for it. Gemini moons are always knowledge-thirsty. Or he will grow long hair and start playin' guitar,he is cancer sun,right...?Cuz chicks dig that Bottom line, don't worry |
coconutcancermoon | THAT means alot, Venus, it really does |
Ami Anne | Bump Do you want to put his chart back up CCM?------------------ Jesus never put his trust in man cuz he knew what was in man. You have to be strong enough to be gentle.Peace through strength,ALWAYS Me |
coconutcancermoon | Only if youd like me too. |
Ami Anne | Yes Maybe I can get to know him a little better by the chart and we can think of some motivational things for him with his school work ------------------ Jesus never put his trust in man cuz he knew what was in man. You have to be strong enough to be gentle.Peace through strength,ALWAYS Me |
