T O P I C R E V I E WAmi AnneI am having a hard time picturing WHAT Jupiter does .Tell me if I am right. I understand Jupiter in the conjunction. It makes the planet it touches bigger, happier, bolder and more optimistic.Say, for example Jupiter trines an Aries Mars.Does it make the Mars more exuberant and optimistic. If it squares an Aries Mars, does it make the Mars TOO exuberant, too reckless? Thanks so much------------------ Enlightenment doesn't result from sitting around visualizing images of light, but from integrating the darker aspects of the self into the conscious personalityJungGod has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. He who controls his Spirit is greater than he who controls a city Proverbslove being Ariesok it squares my Aquarius Marsi am too reckless. i hardly ever care about myself, most of time people tell me m dangerous for myself because i don't give a damn about what will happen to me if i do this and it touches my moon..so whats it doing there?TaineberryI see Jupiter like this : it expands and approves of whatever it touches. It describes what we have faith in, what we feel optimistic and confident about. We believe in the things that Jupiter touches and they normally go well for us. Jupiter is our personal cornocopea, and shows what we never get tired of, because it is our joy. It is a playful, creative, fertile energy - always seeking new adventures and wider horizons. It shows where you like to do things in a big way. It also shows how we make sense of our lives as it describes our belief system and philosphy and what makes life worth living for us.In some cases, especially in hard aspect, Jupiter might be difficult to handle and can describe where we are arrogant, boastful, condescending, overconfident or ride roughshod over others feelings. Our enthusiasm might cause us to do things to excess. Having an inflated ego may also be a problem. In synastry, it is also very powerful blessing for the couple as a positively expressed Jupiter contact will make the other person feel supported and encouraged. There will be an ubeat feeling in the relationship, a feeling of acceptance, approval, common understanding and belief, of being able to grow together and learn together and explore together. If badly expressed, the Jupiter person may be too indulgent and may even encourage the other person to do things to excess. sandsun trine jupitervenus trine jupitermercury trine jupiterjupiter sextile saturnpof conjunct jupiter..but in capricornTaineberryJupiter square Mars - yes, I think there would be a tendency to overdo all things related to Mars. Perhaps hyper-activity may be a problem. But this may not necessarily be the case in a person who is very consious and has taken note about how this leads to Trouble (with a capital T), and has learnt to handle the energy. In this event, if the unruly energy is mastered, and the person with the square will be very dyamic and self-aware in respect of how they use their energy. The trine - the person should be naturally enthusiastic about what they do in life and optimistic that all will work out well. Will be a lively person, but won't normally get out of hand and overdo it.TaineberryHey, Sand. You have beautiful Jupiter aspects. Very lucky indeed. sassaquaHi Taineberry, what you say is very well expressed, and makes it very clear.I always loved Jupiter, mine is in Sagg in the 11th. For me, more is more is more - how can that be bad? Expand everything! However! I recently learned a great lesson from my last relationship where my jupiter got quite a hit (jup is square my sun), and it was just too too much!! There were other things in the synastry that was too much also but, on the jupiter front, it was a real lesson. We were starting things that would just keep getting bigger, then new ideas, and more and more ideas, expanding all the time, and just too much to keep up with, and kind of unstoppable because it's just so optimistic.I have noticed that Jupiter in synastry is connected with the ability to feel forgiving to the parner too.Q. What would your impression be of synastry where one person has no hits to their Jupiter?Ami AnneAwesome Answers Friends !Thank you------------------ Enlightenment doesn't result from sitting around visualizing images of light, but from integrating the darker aspects of the self into the conscious personalityJungGod has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. What would your impression be of synastry where one person has no hits to their Jupiter?I think the relationship would be lacking in the fun factor. Jupiter makes it feel good to be around each other, sometimes for no apparent reason other than you enjoy each other's company. Also, the couple may not be tuned into each other's belief system, philosophy on life. If it is not too important to them individually because they are focussed on other aspects, I suppose that is ok. But in the long term, I think a lack of Jupiter might make it difficult for the couple to grow and support each other in the things that make them happy and are personally meaningful to them.Ami AnneI need to send this to Doux Reve cuz she has asked this question on here and never gotten an answer. It's always the next question... now for the collective: "they both do"But, I dont always know about this...my jupiter made a spot-on sextile to my ex's sun, and a sextile to his mercury. I was very optimistic about our life in general, I was very bouncy and optimistically happy with us. Now I see that it may have been only me with the bouncy. The reason I say this is because I think of a girlfriend whos jup conjs my sun and she's like: "I love you, I don't know why, I just do", gushes quite a bit, even though we aren't really that closely connected. I don't have that same feeling with her (though of course I love my dear friend). I am also aware that people that have hard life and have had bad things happen in their life, can overcome those opsticles. The example above was for a man. Jupiter not afflicted can be a wondrous thing. Sun trine jupiter can be very successful and is considered a lucky aspect to have. Venus conj or trine jupiter is another bountiful aspect to have. Jupiter trine or conjunct the angles can be lovely too.So when trying to figure out jupiter I look at if he is making lots of positive aspects or if he is afflicted and go from there. Venus square jupiter for instance could be overdoing things in love department and implies a lot to learn about love. nordicsoul quote:Originally posted by Ami Anne:I am having a hard time picturing WHAT Jupiter does .Tell me if I am right.
