T O P I C R E V I E Wdefeati'm just wondering, what's the widest orb that you felt (either in your natal, synastry, even composite charts i guess)everything from 0 to 1 degree i just can never deny1-2 strong3 above- there....even if it's something like 7+, what about youfrankie29129 deg. orb, involving Venus.Betty BoopThe widest orb I've ever felt is my Mercury in Pisces 18' and Jupiter in Pisces 9' in the 10th. I've travelled a lot, speak a few languages and my choice of studies+work fits the interpretation for this conjunction. It's one of the reasons I'm leaning towards having a Gemini AC.. rather than a Cancer AC. I was born right on the cusp between the two.. in that 5 minute timeframe. If I have a Gemini AC - it would make sense that I feel this conjunction.. because the AC ruler would be Mercury... and the DC (Sag) ruler would be Jupiter - giving both planets added strength and importance. Another wide-ish orb I feel is my Venus at 00'01 Taurus (conjunct NN at 00'10 Taurus) and opposite Pluto at 6' Scorpio. I think this is because... it's all so intertwined. SN in Sco is ruled by Pluto... and NN in Taurus is ruled by Venus.. so the rulers are conjunct the respective Nodes. My 5th house where Pluto/SN are - has Libra on the cusp.. so it goes back to Venus. My 11th house (where Venus is) is ruled by Mars which is conj Neptune in Cap... and this Mars/Nept conjunction bridges my opposition (it's trine Venus and sextile Pluto). Also, my chart has a bowl shape.. and the Venus/Pluto opp is the aspect that finishes off the "bowl".. If you've come across aspect patterns on Bob Marks.. he explains how this puts extra emphasis on the aspect. *Plus*... I have Black Moon Lilith at 6 Taurus in exact opposition with Pluto... so BML is also conj Venus widely. In synastry - I don't think wide orbs are felt as much... The widest orbs I've felt were with conjunctions - probably around 4 degrees. I always feel the sign energy - but it's not quite the same as having the aspect.I might recognize a Capricorn Mars person for instance. They might have similar traits to my own Capricorn Mars.. but if it's not close enough by degree.. it won't really feel like a Mars/Mars conj. Nine or ten degrees (Mars square Pluto; Sun trine Neptune). Seriously.I know people say to throw out the wider orbs, but based on that alone, I'm not so quick to always do that. My rule of thumb is to ask the person if they feel that aspect, and if they say they don't, then pitch it. If they do, then count it, even if the orb is huge.hmmi've felt orbs as wide as 9 degrees in synastry (involving neptune)mintgirl123I can feel my sun conjunct mars (8 degrees) BUT it might be cos of my aries rising and sun sextile pluto (1 degree) that makes me pretty determined, strong and assertive. I dunno? I have moon conjunct mercury by 6ish orbs and I can feel that too.
