T O P I C R E V I E WStarry~*I'm trying to understand or figure out what one person's "chart ruler" is. Is it somebody who has alot of planets in one ruler? Or is it more of the important aspects to the personal planets that leads to a sign ruler?*confused*What is this person's chart ruler? This is my chart, who is my chart ruler? athenegoddess1st one: Jupiter 9 Capricorn in 2nd house.2nd one: Mars 7 Libra 11th house and/or Pluto in 1st house.Capriquarius http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080613213921AA4UoNa If you don't like his Jupiter in Cap (because that sounds about as exciting as Sunday school), you can use his strongest planetary placement. How about that exalted Mars with the sexy t-square to it?Starry~*Jupiter in Capricorn? What does that say? That he's a boring person? hahaha (for first chart)Starry~*I'm still new to astrology =(What is the sexy T square he has? lol.CapriquariusJupiter = search for meaning in life, joyCapricorn = old school, methodical, conservativeIf this is his chart ruler, then he would react to each situation with the above energy. Which strikes me as the dogmatic religious type. Or maybe he's just philosophical in a serious way. If Mars in Cap is the ruler, he'd be more of the level-headed take-charge type.CapriquariusThe t-square is the red triangle pointing to his Mars, formed by 90 degree angles from those two other planets. It creates friction but gives drive to Mars.I'm kind of new too when it comes to reading charts. Starry~*I was also wondering, he has alot of "flighty" traits in his chart (*sadface*) but I'm not sure if that is credible since he does have that fat @$$ saturn sitting on his sun and in the 12th house..?Capriquarius quote:Originally posted by Starry~*:I was also wondering, he has alot of flighty traits in his chart but I'm not sure if that is credible since he does have that fat @$$ saturn sitting on his sun and in the 12th house..I think the apparent flightyness is due to his 1st House placements of Uranus and Neptune. That is his surface personality. Everyone has Uranus and Neptune in their chart somewhere, but his are just more visible.I don't think he's truly flighty though, at heart. Not with Sun conjunct Saturn in the 12th House (unconscious). He can't readily control these energies because he has suppressed them. But that is why they will dominate. Also looks like he is materially driven. Ttyl8r!Starry~*I see. He likes to do his own things sometimes and I know he likes to keep things inside because he's just afraid of admitting it. But one thing about me that he doesnt have is that I will just go and say it straight out once my scales are tipped. I've been 120% honest with him and that's what he likes about me.He is an air void, so that must explain why he just doesn't have the ability to express very well or communicate very well. Many people would think that he just doesn't care (very typical response from people about him)..he also likes to say he "doesn't care" but obviously he does. I'm just confused because if cap is his ruling sign then usually that would mean he knows what he wants?? Alot of my cap friends know what they want in life and they marry once they've found the right girl/guy...no BS-ing around. However, with him this seems quite obscure. He does tell me that he doesn't know what he wants sometimes, and he can't decide. How's that situated anywhere in his chart? I thought if anyone, I'd be the one that's indecisive! hahaStarry~*Another thing I wanted to know is...since my ruler is mars/pluto (libra/scorpio) that would make me a super crazy lover who wants passion but also the sense and idea of partnership??....sounds like a disaster! hahaha. As for the first person's chart's apparent "flighty-ness" was from all those Saggies in his chart (especially the ascendant)CapriquariusI have Sun/Mars conjunct in Cap with a trine from Saturn and I don't know what I want lol. Capricorn energy is a slow-starting, slow-burning one.He might become more structured and articulated after his Saturn Return in November 2013. His South Node is in the 12th House, so when he's young, he's withdrawn without much of a sense of self. But he will gradually grow into his 6th House NN, which is about the day-to-day, "real world" side of life. He'll be more expressive then, especially about his caring side - he does have one, you're correct. His past life was all about caring. He will also be more definite in his identity as time passes, because that's how Saturn on his Sun will work: slowly but surely, as long as he puts in the work.I was with someone who was similar to this guy, chart-wise. Ttyl =] quote: Another thing I wanted to know is...since my ruler is mars/pluto (libra/scorpio) that would make me a super crazy lover who wants passion but also the sense and idea of partnership??....sounds like a disaster! hahaha. You'd know that better than anyone but it does look like relationships (in general, not just romantic) are important in your view of the world. Your Venus is conjunct your chart ruler. Must be attractive. quote:As for the first person's chart's apparent "flighty-ness" was from all those Saggies in his chart (especially the ascendant)I was wondering if that's what you might have meant by flighty, actually. And I don't think that's what it indicates, necessarily. He may be flirty at times but it doesn't mean anything. He has Moon trine Venus conjunct Neptune - a romantic. He also has Mars in Capricorn sextile Saturn, so he can discipline himself when needed. He does need a lot of personal space, I think. Ttyl =]Wow, thanks for the info!! Haha, you definitely don't sound like a n00b like me!!!November 2013 would be his saturn return eh? Well...we'll have to see what will happen. There is still an un-answered issue in our relationship where he will probably have to leave the country in 2014. As for our relationship, I'm sad because I don't know how/where it'll be headed. I already know (atleast have an idea) of what I want in partnerships. However, he (at the time we were dating ~1-2 months into the relationship) wasn't sure how it'll turn out but he'll do his best to make me and him happy. We are 6 months into the relationship now. Not alot of time but I already feel like living 2 lives. Weekends I spend time and stay over his house and we'd split house chores and house work..which shocks me cuz I'm doing these things that feel like married people do. Weekdays we are doing our own thing and living our other lives with work and such.CapriquariusI added a bit more info to the prior post...If youre wondering about longevity, it looks like his Saturn (sense of security, responsibility) makes some loose conjuncts to your Mercury and Venus. If his Saturn forms aspects to your composite planets, he will feel responsibility for maintaining ties - even if he isn't insistent, he'll be there.Ttyl =]Starry~* quote:Originally posted by Capriquarius:I added a bit more info to the prior post...If youre wondering about longevity, it looks like his Saturn (sense of security, responsibility) makes some loose conjuncts to your Mercury and Venus. If youre wondering about longevity, it looks like his Saturn (sense of security, responsibility) makes some loose conjuncts to your Mercury and Venus.
If his Saturn forms aspects to your composite planets, he will feel responsibility for maintaining ties - even if he isn't insistent, he'll be there.

Ah yes, I read it. Thank you so much for your insight!!! =D
Our composite chart is kind of scary to say the least...I really don't know if it's good or bad...I made a Pluto thread and you can probably take a look in there.
We have Venus Conjunct Saturn DW loosely. My saturn on his venus is closer, at around a 4 deg orb and his saturn on my venus is around 5 deg.
We have composite Venus Conjunct Saturn, Jupiter Square Saturn, Mars Conjunct Saturn if that is what you meant for longetivity??
My sun opposes his Moon under 1 deg...yikes!
My vertex conjunction to his Descendent although it is somewhat wide.
