L0veLess | I know how they usually criss cross compatibility by matching a womans venus to the mans mars, but is it okay if the mars match eachother? or venus and venus? Wouldn't it be better if they shared the same mars so that in a sexual relationship they would be similar? ------------------ I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.-Poe If the truth is relative then there's nothing that is really true. anongrl10 | Well, Mars is not only about sex. It can get a bit rough with a person who matches your Mars with his Mars. When one of you is angry can set off both of you. It's a volatile energy. Mars with Mars is good for people who are active together, literally working out or mentally striving towards a common goal; there's a lot of energy in it and it will take you far but it needs to be used wisely. Venus with Venus is not about love as much as aesthetics; your sense of what's beautiful is very similar and so are probably your values in life. It's great for friendship. |
L0veLess | hm okay then i mean mars for sex then lol how are mars and mars together for sex? would it matter if they were similar? Betty Boop | Actually - my theory was that conjunctions work much better when it's the same planet. Conjunctions don't seem to work that well as - feminine2masculine planet aspects (including Sun/Moon). They're often not what they're hyped up to be. Oppositions do work well between feminine planets&masculine planets. |
Betty Boop | quote: how are mars and mars together for sex?
I've never had this in synastry - but I heard it was hawt! Also, a handful of times I remember being told (by a guy) that he finds a woman very attractive - whether a famous woman or someone we both knew - and it so turned out that she had her Mars conjunct his. |

Mars is not only "for sex" and understanding this will answer your q. For instance Mars will tell how each person responds to a challenge in life, the manner of acting and responding to challenges. If it's for a one-night stand, Mars with Mars will make the sex rough and physically rigorous (expect to sweat lol). A Mars-Mars conj with no other points of contact with Venus or the Moon is sex without even liking you as a woman (Venus), or care about your feelings (Moon). In addition, how exactly Mars expresses itself (because Mars is energy), will depend on the sign it is in and the house. For instance, Mars in an air sign is more about the intellect than about the body. Two buddies who love to talk with each others for hrs can have this Mars in an air sign conjunction. I assume the conjunction you mention happens in the same sign and house. And again, this aspect alone can't say much. The whole synastry need be taken into account if you want to find out about this relationship. Again, since Mars is a lot more than sex, a Mars-Mars conjunction alone does not speak of a love relationship if that is what you have in mind (and you asked about "compatibility" in your original post so I assumed as much). |
Capriquarius | Mars trine Mars was hot! Perfectly in sync. Maybe the conjunction would be too strong...or maybe it'll be even hotter. Had two instances of Venus conjunct Venus but it was unreciprocated interest...the guy will probably find the girl attractive because how she presents herself when trying to be attractive is the style he finds ideal. quote: Originally posted by Betty Boop: I've never had this in synastry - but I heard it was hawt! I've seen this happen too. This guy I went out with wouldn't quit talking about a certain female friend of his and swore up and down that she's just a friend. Happens that her Mars is exactly conjunct his. Even though she's not his usual "type," he must have found something alluring about her, so there it is! |
L0veLess | hm i dont mean mars conj. mars im just saying if the mars signs match like a mars and venus would match. Like if there was mars in aries with a mars in leo or something. those mars signs match well. ------------------ I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.-Poe If the truth is relative then there's nothing that is really true. If Venus has nothing to do with actual love astrologically, then what does? lmao It's aesthetics *and* romantic love, not necessarily one or the other. |
scrappydog | My x husband and I had venus closely conjunct venus and it was the most romantic relationship I ever had..while it lasted..neptune was also squaring. |

Yeah, Mars trine Mars (i.e. same element) should work great. Have fuuuuuun |
Leonine8 | Venus trine Venus is great friends, possibly platonic depending on other aspects. Mars is nice when other planets soften it. Sounds like some with Mars-Mars enjoy it. Could also be competitive, enjoying sports, etc. |

I was wondering about that too... How come people look at venus mars compatibility when it comes to sex? Shouldn't it be Mars-Mars? Venus should have nothing to do with sex but it is still used in this sense. That has always confused me. |
Lonake | ^ Venus has to do with wanting to be desired. Mars desires. Doesn't sound like too much of a stretch to me. Moon is often involved in love matters, Moon cares, whereas Venus really just wants as much pleasure/attention as possible. Venus in Cancer, combines Moon/Venus dynamic, is more attuned as a Venus placement to the Moon. Moon really has no sexual desire in and of itself. If in Scorpio, then the desire provides a means to emotional fulfillment, but the goal would be emotional fulfillment from getting those desires met. Mars in Scorpio, would be pure desire for sexual fulfillment (or, since there is an affiliation with Pluto, this Mars could also easily go into dry spells and sublimate their desires into other pursuits). Maybe that's one reason so many ladeez rant and rave here about men with that placement. |
