T O P I C R E V I E Wtautomer4314I'm curious. Which signs, planets, and houses, control what senses. I am speaking of the 5 senses. Smell, taste, sight, touch, and hearing.I am wondering because as my senses are very off kilter. I see lights (pinpoints that appear for miliseconds of varying colors) randomly. I also have olfactory hallucinations (although not very common). I'm extremely auditory, very sensitive to music and sounds in general. All sound has an intrinsic emotional connection to me. I find most visual imput extremely distracting to sounds, and often seek to ignore it by closing my eyes or staring at a point. I also have very poor eyesight (-5.5 perscription, corrective contacts). Physical sensations are highly signifigant, and it's linked to sound as well. In the end I am just very sensitive to sounds and it seemingly crosses over into all of my senses. Although I do not consider myself to have synthsesia. That being said, when I smoke pot (which I rarely do) I will quite literally, physically feel sounds and music. You don't need to analyze this, I can draw my own conclusions .------------------It's All Elemental-----My Chart if relevantVenusDiSiriusSynesthesic observationss (not condition)- Neptune to Moon/Merc; Cancer Merc,Pisces Merc. H3 ans H12 rulers in aspect.BelligerentPygmyI have Moon-Nep and I don't have synesthesia...MyVirgoMaskI generally associate senses and the like with Taurus and sensory hallucinations, or even dreams, with the 12th. It's interesting, you have your moon in a Taurus house (the second) conj its cusp, and the 12th house ruler is in the 8th (Mercury) so I can see it being pronounced. With your 12th house ruler (Mercury) being retrograde also, I wonder if this accentuates it in the sense of having it being even more 'turned in' somehow. If that makes sense. To relate: I have moon in the 12th so I get really vivid dreams, but the moon is also the ruler of my 3rd so it's like it's always talking lol.I often hear music randomly. I don't smoke pot, if anything this stuff comes in while I am stone sober, in the middle of the afternoon. I really feel it's a 12th house thing with the moon for me. I keep thinking I hear symphonies being played often while I'm sitting in a quiet room, and then look up and realize there's no music on, which is a total trip lolI had a post about his a long time ago, I wonder if I can find it!MyVirgoMaskSynesthesia is so awesome Lonake quote:Originally posted by MyVirgoMask:I often hear music randomly. Stimuli are not well processed by brain. What I had in mind is artistic 'synesthesia' where people combine received impressions, but process them well. Taste is connected to touch, etc.MyVirgoMask quote:What I had in mind is artistic 'synesthesia' where people combine received impressions, but process them well. I am kind of associating it with a 6th sense or even picking up on sound imprints. Or not being processed by the brain in the 'right' way....On a less scientific level, I think it's also indicative of clairaudience. Lonake, I got chills when you talked about the radio announcer. I have had similar experiences with the announcer voice. tautomer4314 quote:Originally posted by MyVirgoMask: Yeah, this is the synesthesia I know of too. I have had similar experiences with the announcer voice. Yup this. The true definition of synthesia is a literal crossover between the senses. It's usually associated with sounds and colors for example. I read a book a few years ago called musicophila (which is FASCINATING) and it described individuals who had it. Some would hear a b-sharp note as red. or c-flat as green. You get the idea. What I really just want to know is what signs rule which senses and which planets rule which senses. If you know this it shoudn't be terribly hard to explain why and how your own senses work, or how they don't, haha.------------------It's All Elemental-----My Chart if relevant
