T O P I C R E V I E WavocadosandwichHi,I'm learning my astrology the way I seem to learn everything - I blunder in, ask boneheaded questions, and pick up pieces here and there until I can jigsaw it all together.* So while this might seem to be putting the cart before the horse, how common is the "cross of reason/mutable cross?" in a natal horoscope (each of the mutable signs - sag, virgo, pisces, gemini - forming a cross). It seemed really neat when I found one in my family charts, but it might be common as mud. I'm just wondering.*I apologise for any uttered stupidities behind me or before me LonakeGrand Crosses are not common in natal charts, it belongs to a class of aspect patterns like Grand Trines, Mystic Rectangles, Yods..these are stand outs in the chart and require special interpretation.avocadosandwich quote:Originally posted by Lonake:Grand Crosses are not common in natal charts, it belongs to a class of aspect patterns like Grand Trines, Mystic Rectangles, Yods..these are stand outs in the chart and require special interpretation. Thanks, Lonake. One of my children has the mutable cross - when I was looking at our charts, I happened to notice the configuration and thought, "Now, what are the odds of *that*?" I found the terms "mutable cross" and "cross of reason" by Googling the right way.I was told I have a mystic rectangle, though I haven't really pursued that yet. I find that in order to learn anything at all, I need to follow my chosen leads like a sniffer dog... even if they are well above my capabilities! Thanks again for your response!RandallThanks, Lonake!------------------"To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing." Aristotle
