I also prefer it that way. By phone, they often record it so that you can listen to it again and again, but that can be cumbersome when you just want to review some spots on the reading. When it's printed out or on email you can just scroll down to the part you want to reread any time.I was going to recommend a couple of western astrologers to you and then I realized they both use the phone too. I never use western astrologers any more because I find vedic astrology to be way more accurate when it comes to life events, but I assume you're looking for a western one. If you still want their info even though they don't do email I can look for it.
Currently for emailed personalized reports I like to use indastro.com I really like their interpretations. My friends and I have gotten several reports from them and their two most detailed reports are I think 170 dollars and 199 dollars. The one that's a bit more is better because it not only gives you more info, but you can ask 5 specific questions and at the end of the full reading the astrologer answers the questions for you. Since it's not done by computer you have to wait 7-12 days for the report. If you want to, first go to the website and try the free computerized reading... the free one is really short, but if you're like most of my friends you may find that that free computerized short report is more accurate than some really long western astrology reports that cost money.
Vic Dicara is another astrologer and he seems to have the ability to be straight with you about a bad thing in your chart without bumming you out about it. He's always changing his rates & services so just check his website to see what they are now. He not only uses email, but also chat so that you can copy the chat afterwards on your screen and have a printed report of that along with the report he sends you.
That's all I can think of and recommend that give you the option of email. I'm sure someone will come along with more suggestions for you.
