hannaramaa | Since Venus is in detriment in Aries, would having this placement have the same results/effect as someone with Venus opposite Mars? |
Kerosene | I've been with quite a few venus in Aries natives, I find them so attractive.. Probably since my mars is in Aries. They all had gorgeous faces too. They're very passionate and sexual but they're not very "romantic". I've never been into frilly and stupid gestures anyways. I find Venusians cheesy and predictable in that sense. I think mars in aries could be more similar to a venus conjunct mars. My mom had Venus in aries and I noticed she not does not respond well to my dads romantic ways. She does not like candle light dinners or surprises. She also does not like gifts (that she didn't pick out herself) She has a very particular taste and does not believe in "its the thought that counts" That could be a negative side of venus in aries. |
hannaramaa | Mars in Aries wouldn't be Venus conjunct Mars... Venus is ruled by Libra. If anything it would be like Mars conjunct Pluto since Scorpio co-rules Mars with Aries, and also Pluto. That's why I thought Venus in Aries would have the same effect as Venues opposition Mars, because Libra is Venus' natural ruler and opposing Aries on the chart wheel. |
Kerosene | Pluto had nothing to do with Aries thou... Arians and scorpios are quite different.. Venus in scorpio would be similar to venus conjunct pluto. Venus in aries isn't a difficult placement, thats what I tried to explain in my early post. It depends how the planet is aspected |

I said Pluto has to do with Aries because Scorpio rules Pluto but is also connected to Mars, which is definitely connected to Aries. But anyway... If it's not a difficult placement then how come people are like "OH MY GOD, IT'S IN DETRIMENT." Not challenging you, I just don't understand the quandry. |
Kerosene | Cool hannaramaa, your absolutely correct. Venus in aries is a bad bad placement and my own experiences aren't worth a dime. I'm not going to argue with you, I really don't care |
Odette | This is true for all placements. Venus in Aries can be similar to Venus in aspect to Mars and to Venus in the 1st house... and also to Mars in Libra. Another example...
Mars in Capricorn can be similar to Mars in aspect to Saturn, Mars in the 10th house and Saturn in Aries. Lonake made a list of these once.. for all the placements. I can't remember which forum though. |

As lovers - I agree.. Not my type. As friends - I usually like them. I definitely like the girls. |

I don't understand why you're getting offended, I was asking why others say it's in detriment... |
Kerosene | I'm not offended I'm just very drunk and I get a little impatient, but I don't really believe in exalted or debilitated planets, simply because everyone has there own preferences. Libra is considered the best sign for venus, I find them boring and uninteresting as lovers.I've met lovely and romantic venus in virgos and really horrid lunar taureans. While most lunar scorpios are not as nasty as people think. |
LionFish | The only thing that could possibly be detrimental about Venus in Aries it's that we're a *bit* ”me” oriented in relationships. I've got it even worse with my mars conj uranus in sag and Leo asc. I actually had a shirt that said”I attention” when I saw it I was like, well yes I do! Lol I'm not sure about the opposition to mars thing, but I personally think we Aries Venus folk are just about the most lovable creatures on earth and the only people who could soak up compliments and attention more readily would be a Leo |
LionFish | Maybe that's the detrimental part.. Love is a give and take thing and we really like to get...not take, get |
Archylas | I'm a venus in aries girl here. XD I can definitely see myself as the chaser in a relationship. |
anno_lucis | haha LionFish, i had a 'Me Me Me' tee too. i think venus is in a difficult place here because it is happier being feminine, receptive, passive and piscean...not martian, lusty, aggressive, impulsive... i think venus in aries will often look to satisfy it's 'bloodlust' by picking very masculine alpha winner types...not a bad thing imo |

anno_lucis | sup flossy, ya miss me |
sand | I might.. |
anno_lucis | i'll take that as a no... |
sand | What?! Just been busy.. All about u Aries! |

That makes sense and Yeeeeees I love alpha/dominant/driven/masculine types. Usually they have to be more bold/outgoing than me for me to even notice them (which isn't easy lol) The only other thing that gets my attention is well, showering me with attention, but that gets boring after a while if the personality isn't there and I'll drift on to the next person...

Sigh. I know Pluto doesn't ALWAYS have to do with Aries. I just meant in this instance, in terms of my question.
