T O P I C R E V I E Wbridgetostars23Let's say you have nothing in one of the elements but your south node is in that element...does that count? Also, if you have no other planets in the sign of your south node or in the house that is ruled by that sign or in the element of that sign, how does that affect you?Heart--Shaped CrossIf there are no other planets or points in the sign, then the node is a singleton, and more powerful. If it is the only planet or point in the element, it is a singleton, twice over. In any case, the SNode represents a powerful pull toward the past. It's like baggage we've accumulated and are dragging around behind us. It's full of all kinds of neat stuff, but, let's face it, we're hoarding. Time to clean house.SNode in PiscesRuler in the 12thbridgetostars23Thanks for your reply. My South Node is in Libra in the eighth house. I think sometimes because of this perhaps, Libra is the sign I have sometimes had the most confusing feelings towards. It sounds like I may have been a sex slave in a past life to be honest, ha.Doux RêveWell, technically it can't be a singleton because it's not a celestial body, but a calculated point. So, I wouldn't count it as a singleton, per se.But the SN is usually important regardless of where it's placed. Especially if it makes aspects to other planets. How do you feel your Libra SN in the 8th, bridge? Too dependent on intimate relationships and just generally intense? Too compromising with close people, but have strong emotions? That would be the SN. If not, you're probably moving toward your NN already (more stable, independent, not as emotional, grounded, focused on your well-being, go-getter, etc).jjjWhat could Aries venus conjunct Aries SN mean?Doux RêveIn natal?Makes me think of someone who is used to taking action when it comes to love, intiating romance, maybe a bit too aggressive or dominant in their approach. NN in Libra is about compromise and real exchange in relationships. No more selfish concerns, no more "me me me" attitude. Learning how to cooperate instead of going solo and making decisions alone. With SN in Aries there can be a tendency to rely too much on ourselves and only taking into account our own feelings. So the task here is to be more Libra-like, but of course without completely leaving the Ariesness behind.Relationship karma is very important here. The goal is to have healthy, balanced and harmonious relationships, with real care and a give and take that goes both ways.jjjThanks Doux Reve,it is in the natal of someone I really care about. I have a Chiron-Uranus opposition in natal. My Chiron conjuncts his Aries SN-Venus conjunction and my Uranus sits on his NN. He has tendency to go solo and be egoistic and think about himself... I was wondering if my Chiron holds him in the past (enhances this Ariesness) or helps him to overcome it and to move towards his Libra NN (my Uranus sitting there).(sry for deviating the topic a bit...)Doux RêveI see.Well, obviously there is a back and forth type of energy, because that is the concept of the opposition itself; but Uranus is a planet whereas Chiron is an asteroid, so I'd say your Uranus on his NN is more potent. It can be very hard for people to move toward their NN, though. And with Uranus, it's bound to be unpredictable and not very stable. Plus Venus sits on his SN, so he is very set in his ways and will probably find it difficult to change. I think you challenge him a lot, consciously or not. jjj quote:Originally posted by Doux Rêve:Plus Venus sits on his SN, so he is very set in his ways and will probably find it difficult to change. The Uranus-NN conjunction is exact, 0 degrees, and you are right, I challenge him, more unconsciously for the moment because he is fighting the change.Doux RêveYou're welcome, jjj.Just take it easy. You can't change him, no matter what you do.Only he can do that. All you can do is be there for him and support him.But don't waste your time if you see that things aren't going well, okay?Focus on your own development and happiness.Good luck ~7thGuardian quote:Originally posted by Doux Rêve:Well, technically it can't be a singleton because it's not a celestial body, but a calculated point. So, I wouldn't count it as a singleton, per se.But the SN is usually important regardless of where it's placed. But it's in 9'th house - a useful position for better understanding of emotions, for getting wiser from this point of view. With time, she can learn to assimilate them better - and maybe not detached from emotions, but - she can understand better what she wants - what she needs and act upon it from a dominant position (Aries NN) - instead of giving in while craving for another in a co-dependent position (Libra SN). Though, the hardest part to overcome for this NN (in Aries/2'nd House) - might be her Mars in Pisces and her 12'th House Sun (conj Neptune) - the helpful part about it, it's in Capricorn.jjjSure, Doux Reve. This man told me that he cant give me anything else than friendship, but he continues to be around and search for my company and flirt as if he wanted more than friendship. I cant cut him off due to circumstances that are beyond my control. This is the hardest... I cant be only a friend.(his Chiron is on my NN and my Chiron on his SN-Venus conjunction and my Uranus on his NN).But c est la vie...!bridgetostars23 quote:Originally posted by Doux Rêve:Well, technically it can't be a singleton because it's not a celestial body, but a calculated point. So, I wouldn't count it as a singleton, per se.But the SN is usually important regardless of where it's placed. I am perhaps in the hard transition because I avoid close relationships because I know I have the potential to be too much of a people pleaser. I hope I am moving towards Aries!
