T O P I C R E V I E WswampysIs it my 12th house Moon at the 29th degree and my Leo ascendant?I just showed a guy a photo of my body (clothed) after him knowing what my face looks like for over two years. I asked him if I am ugly or gross and he said "no" immediately but then I asked him if I was pretty and he didn't say anything, and two minutes later said he was going to lay down and didn't even let me say goodnight. He's told me I'm cute countless times but hasn't said I'm pretty in quite awhile. I asked him if he thought I was annoying yesterday, too, and he avoided the question. This is so devastating and I don't know what to do with my life from this point on. The only other person who says I'm attractive on a regular basis is my mom...He's such a jerk and it hurts so bad to love a jerk. I think tonight is the last time he planned on talking to me.peachbeigebluei don't think it's the picture that's making him distant, it's probably the insecurity behind the question. be confident! i think most healthy relationships start by both people being comfortable with themselves - and not needing to rely on another person to make or break their confidence. ya know? Got Gemini??Astrology aside, you have to believe in and love yourself! If you don't, how can you expect anyone else to? If you feel there are areas about your person that you can work on such as getting in shape or whatever, do them! Don't be down on yourself or you'll find yourself looking for validation from others when all the validation you need is from yourself! :-)------------------Gemini SunLibra MoonGemini MercuryCancer VenusVirgo MarsVirgo AscAnd yes, I'm a guy!hikorosuper sensitive?no, i say...low self-esteem.in my adult life, ive never asked anybody if im pretty....i just know i am. and, unless he is a horrible person...i honestly dont see how he is a jerk.i found those questions very bizarre too.PixieJaneAt least in the US girls are raised different from boys so that they prize beauty but can't appear vain which makes a very delicate sitch that can backfire real easy. The typical way it works is girl A asks how she looks and the other girls say girl A looks good while girl A says no she's not, and then they trade (so girl A says how pretty all the other girls are as they put themselves down), that way they bolster each other without worrying about their friends gossiping on how she's so into herself, vain, "all that," etc. That is to say as they adapt to their changing bodies (while under psychic assault by evil fashion companies) they need constant reassurance but can't give it to themselves, they have to get it from others, and all the while putting themselves down whether they actually believe it or not to make sure they don't get attacked by other envious and/or insecure girls. Oh! Here, forgetting the rule and saying "thank you" to a compliment instead of putting herself down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqqkeH5sEX4 She gets better, however: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhCzRr9EwBk I can think of ways that guys are similar (in a very different way) but it's early, I haven't had breakfast yet, and I don't have enough time to compare & contrast, and besides I've noticed if I share too much people just skim what I post anyway so I'll hope this is understandable as is. (But a note to girls: guys don't play that game and don't want to.)OrangeYour frustration is completely understandable. Every girl needs a validation every now and than from the people they love. He is a jerk for not being a gentleman enough to at least thank you for the pictures. his reaction, or I'd rather say - the lack of thereof, took the insecurity out of you and that could be annoying and a turn off.Your response - "I don't know what to do with my life from this point on" is a bit troublesome, however. Your life aspirations do not and should not depend on the level of your attractivness.
