T O P I C R E V I E WjoyrjwI was thinking about it today and I thought, the moon influences seem kind of similar to Neptune influences, especially when the moon is in the 3rd house. What do you all think about it? somethingexcellentBoth are imaginative, dreamy, escapist, manipulative, sensitive...yeah, I'd say they could pass as siblings. One of the main differences, I think, is that the Moon's temperament is expressive while Neptune people will hold it in when it comes to hurt feelings, and the Moon can be pretty selfish while Neptune is a little more bleeding hearted.joyrjwYes, it's interesting to think about. Its also good to know someone else shares a similar perspective. :-) quote:Originally posted by somethingexcellent:Both are imaginative, dreamy, escapist, manipulative, sensitive...yeah, I'd say they could pass as siblings. That one went right over my head. lol! quote:Originally posted by Member:cancer and pisces are the same.StarlightSmileSupreme quote:Originally posted by joyrjw:I was thinking about it today and I thought, the moon influences seem kind of similar to Neptune influences, especially when the moon is in the 3rd house. What do you all think about it? I do not think they are that similar. Neptune is more closely related to Venus. The moon is just the moon. Think of Neptune as Venus on steroids. It deals in extremes. Anything that Neptune touches, it brings an element of extreme emotion to while the moon is more like sentimentality and general moodiness, so in that way, they are sorta similar except moon tends to be more rational, like the kind of emotion one experiences when experiencing a happy or sad event, then gets over it at some point. It's natural. It's normal. Neptune is hysteria. Moon is just general emotional nature. Venus is love. Neptune is devotion. Neptune is what you find with God and divinity.Venus is what you find on earth. Not saying that God exists, I am agnostic, but if he does exist, the Neptune feeling is what you experience while with him.Neptune is also said to rule over ecstacy, the feeling, not the drug. So, these are some general differences and similarities between Moon, Venus and Neptune. Jupiter is another planet that blends with Neptune a little, kind of like Venus. You could say Jupiter is somewhere between Venus and Neptune. Both planets are associated with good fortune while Venus is considered the Lesser Fortune or Benefic. Jupiter also has a lovely relationship with the Moon through the sign Cancer and might even share a special relationship with the sign Taurus, although it is not referenced in books. Jupiter works well in this sign, kind of like it is supposed to in Cancer. So, in a way, the moon and Neptune are similar, but in many others they are completely different. The moon might actually make the memory pretty good while in house three but Neptune would produce absent mindedness or photographic memory, like the kind you see in prodigies and genuises, savants, maybe? Whenever it's Neptune, I think of out of the ordinary and extreme while Moon is just better than average if it is dignified or well aspected. Neptune seems supernatural. In house three it could put someone in touch with the outer realms so they might be able to translate them onto paper. Moon deals with mundane matters on earth. Thinking could be emotional and personal, but somewhat practical. The memory is good, imagination is apparent but not the same sort of subtlety as you see with Neptune. If Neptune is in the third, fantasy life could prevail and mundane matters could be the last thing such a placement prefers to think about. It could be someone lost in fantasy, likes to day dream or prefers spacing out. Could be attention deficits as well. Moon is related to insanity and feeble mindedness. It is related to the mind while Mercury is to thinking.Chirp quote:Originally posted by StarlightSmileSupreme: [QUOTE]Originally posted by joyrjw:[b]I was thinking about it today and I thought, the moon influences seem kind of similar to Neptune influences, especially when the moon is in the 3rd house. What do you all think about it? I know that feeling well because I am the type that gets totally into what I am interested in and know that feeling when I feel it. It is like intense hyper focus and absorption.
What do you all think about it?
