Lazyscarecrow | Neptune is transitting the 3rd house in my natal chart. Needless to say there have been many misunderstandings and me sounding or coming across very unintelligent when I type a sentence or just open my mouth. I've had so many people correct me or put me in check, and I just want to know the placements that would point to such a person. I am prone to exaggeration in my speech and thoughts, and it tends to wear thin on those who are more literal. :P So speak up, folks. |

Jupiter tends to exagerate, so I'd say a hard aspect between Mercury and Jupiter. |
aquaguy91 | Mercury in capricorn seems to speak and think literally. |
11nahyt | I tend to exaggerate a lot too when I speak.i happen to have mercury square Jupiter.my mercury is actually very afflicted. Involved in multiple tsquares too. |
sweet-scorpion | I actually have Neptune transiting my 3rd house as well. I've had some issues with being misunderstood and also, Neptune is conjunct my natal Saturn. I feel like for me, it's telling me to let go and stop trying to be super smart and make room for some mistakes since it's only human not to sound perfect with every speech I make...maybe it's doing the same for you? Some possibilities for your question, to answer it, could be Mars-Jupiter aspects as Jkitty said. Mars-Mercury soft aspects for forceful + literally loud speaking/uncontrolled thoughts. Mercury-Saturn aspects hard and soft for very algorithmic, sometimes melancholic and blunt thinking. Mercury in Capricorn can be that way sometimes also as aquaguy pointed out. |
starmoon | the worst exaggerator I know has mercury conjunct jupiter |
Kerosene | I wouldn't do that to someone unless they were being overly obnoxious... Sometimes its more offensive correcting someone unless they appear to be genuinely unaware.I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and most of the time that's the case... Unless the person looks like a complete idiot... Well I guess I wouldn't even bother anyways. I make gramatical mistakes all the time, I'm usually doing two or 3 things as the same time and often have to edit and frankly I don't care. I would imagine neptune in the third would make you very profound in this period of your life. |
Jessica2407 | I think that's one thing that I can do pretty well. Talk science bs well.Talk just for the sake of talking and don't talk at all. However, I won't correct someone in front of everybody except if am being beetchy on purpose. I have to highlight the 'on purpose'.That happens sometimes. |
L0veLess | I speak very straightforward but not necessarily scientific. I have cap merc but its also conj. uranus and nept. When I think its abstractedly sometimes and almost like it makes no sense and I don't understand/process things people say correctly sometimes because of that. I know a sag merc who sort of speaks scientific since he's into facts and is knowledgeable in various animal/bug things |
Doux Rêve | Mercury / Saturn. |

I have the conjunction |
Doux Rêve | I have them parallel and I'm very literal in my speech, most of the time. |

Me too. I am *so literal* I find my partner (and former partners as well) criticize me for it. I get so frustrated reminding them of something they said or promised and they get frustrated with me believing every word they have said. I get let down a lot. Additionally, sometimes I don't get when someone is joking or being facetious and I get really ****** off usually followed by "but you said...!!!" The most colorful exaggerator I've ever known is my current partner. He has Mercury opposition Jupiter. We have many misunderstanding and communication issues (not really fights or arguments, just that he is so NOT literal) and he also has Mercury square Pluto and Mercury square Uranus. ------------------ "Most people would rather be sheep and have company than stand out on their own with antlers on." — Tori Amos |

^^^ I am like this because I have an insanely sharp memory and I'm the type of person who I say what I mean and I mean what I say. It's not necessarily because I'm always super literal (in fact, I'm pretty sarcastic/facetious), but because I'm a person of my word, and why the hell say it if you don't mean it?! That drives me bonkers! To me it is simple people pleasing/irresponsibility that is the culprit of that. In any case, I can be very concrete/literal, but not usually to the point that it impairs communication with others. I just prefer to be direct/clear when communicating and exaggerating/people pleasing gets in the way of that. I personally have a Virgo Mercury in the 10th square Sagittarius Neptune (end of the 1st). Recently the Sagittarius I've befriended has been driving me bonkers because he has Sagittarius Mercury trine Leo Jupiter and he exaggerates/people pleases so much. He's very lucky that it is the trine and not the square, because he's able to make it entertaining/genuine enough that he is able to drop my defenses and connect with me instead of alienating me with all the exaggeration. |
Ami Anne | Virgo would do this imo So it could be a Virgo mercury or a Virgo Moon aspecting Mercury or Mercury/Saturt, perhaps, that the person felt he had to be perfect, so was super precise and careful.
Actually, it could be a Virgo Sun aspecting Mercury ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

LovelyKitty | I'm not sure if this could provide you the info but I have natal Neptune in 3rd and I work as scientic/healthcare professional. I don't use Neptune in my work , when I concentrate , the scorpio Mercury speak more. In my leisure time , people said sometimes I mention to many topics in 1 conversation in the sametime , which is really confused . The very good pooint of this Neptune in 3rd is I can imagine anything in picture very clearly ie. yesterday I try to figureout how is my new apartment will look like and all the picture coming into my head like a homedesigh program in computer that can chage wallpaper /sofa/etc. I think when neptune transit here you should practice "visualization" , it could help you in the future if you want to do futher Meditation . Another story about this is you'll develope artistic /hidden talent in speech , write , anything the 3rd ruled. Last but not least...if you want to escape from the neptune, you can concentrate on your natal mercury placement . Where is your Mercury? Hope it's not in 3rd too? |

I know. Can relate 100%. I say what I mean and mean what I say. I expect everyone to be the same. If someone tells me : I don't want to talk to you. I will take that literally. Then I'm told "why do you take everything that I say as words carved on stones?" am like duh, you said so yourself. |
