T O P I C R E V I E WVenusian MoonDo you have sun/saturn aspects with your father or step father? Please share.charlieeditcharlieJust our progressed charts. My Saturn is conjunct his Sun. And his Saturn is conjunct my Sun.meyrayYes. My Sun (Scorpio) square his Saturn (Aquarius). If Saturn was a person he would be my father. My dad has all the personality traits that Saturn embodies – stern, somber, stoical, commanding authority and respect but at the same time too set in his ways, resists change, critical and sometimes even gloomy.I immensely respect my father and when I was younger I thought he was the paragon of the mature adult and man. When I grew up I was shocked to find out that most adults are just as flawed and just as stupid as some kids. I also started seeing my father’s flaws and that also surprised me. He of course is very proud and always rebukes me if I criticize him because it’s unacceptable for a daughter to criticize her father and I always felt bad about it but that didn't change my opinions. He’s very traditional and I’m very liberal. That sparks conflicts between us. Sometimes I feel like he’ll never think of me as an equal and will always consider me a stupid bratty little girl. I always seek his approval and affection but he rarely shows how he feels. This sometimes makes me feel like he doesn’t love me but I know he does. Still it would be nice if he was a little more affectionate…Thanks to him I developed a very high sense of self-worth, maturity and honor. However I wouldn’t want my husband or lover to be like him. In fact I think the kind of man I like is exactly the opposite of my father.ShineYourLightYup, my Dads Sun is Conjunct my Saturn! Venusian Moon quote:Originally posted by meyray:Yes. They set up a good example, and even though there's no perfect parent, they support their child and take care of him, always making sure the child has what he needs. A more negative manifestation is that of the overly authoritarian parent, too strict and narrow-minded, controlling and stiff. Affection is hardly - if ever - expressed, and there's an emphasis on duty and family obligations moreso than the child's inner development. Classic "all work and no play" type of energy.
