T O P I C R E V I E WChiemiThis might be reallyyyy random lol, but are you usually the mars in say venus/mars moon/mars synastry rather than venus? I'm starting to wonder why this ALWAYS happens to me even though "traditionally" it's better for the man to be mars and the woman to be venus. Your thoughts? Also are you more of the pursuer/initiator in relationships?PixieJaneDoes this help answer your question? http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/idealmanforawoman.html I know that page describes "the most attractive" kind of man for me, my partner and her daughter, my BFF, and my mom. Also, I don't really pursue, though I might casually mention the idea and/or it might be mutual. First I have to be friends with someone before attraction can happen (no random hookups for me, I wouldn't feel any attraction) so others generally feel any "chemistry" before I do (assuming I ever do) so others usually lead by default. There have been exceptions (and I'm not shy about it, but if they don't show interest back then mine quickly evaporates) but they're rare. (I do believe if it were more important to me that I'd pursue a lot more.)LionFish quote:Originally posted by Chiemi:This might be reallyyyy random lol, but are you usually the mars in say venus/mars moon/mars synastry rather than venus? I also have Mars in my 5th (Sag). You'd think the fire would make me more the aggressor, especially since I have Venus in Aries, too. But the way it plays out is that I am an outrageous flirt. I love the chase, the thrill of the hunt, but I'm extremely feminine. If I initiate, it will be with a smile, eye contact, a conversation deliberately overheard by my mark. It's passive, either encouraging the chase or approaching sideways. Chasing a man honestly has no appeal to me. If I am interested in someone, I will catch their attention, then make the chase possible, but there is no question of who is pursuing whom in my relationships. But if you look at my chart it's not hard to see what's playing out. I have Aphrodite in my first house, all by herself. She is the personification of feminine wiles in the house of my identity. My sun in Taurus, so we add more sensual femininity. My Venus and Mars are in trine, so I think those two energies get balanced well and while there is a sexual aggressiveness, it doesn't overwhelm. It comes off as inviting, rather than pursuing. My ascendant is in Leo, and in all honesty, I'm used to getting attention (it's the mane) without really working for it. My ASC is trine Venus, so again, the perception of being all female is amped up more. Then there's Pluto, which is very prominent in my chart, in aspect with almost every planet (sigh). It is trine my sun and semi square my ascendant. Those aspects give a slightly dangerous vibe. There's a magnetism to them, especially the trine, but it can intimidate some. Approach if you dare. So...the kind of men that do approach me (and the kind I'm attracted to) are usually aggressive, confident, masculine types. There is no confusion regarding whom is the aggressor.Look to the rest of your chart. What's going on? It's not just your Mars in the 5th house.------------------peachbeigeblueI have mars in 5th in Aries. I've been the pursuer. In my current relationship my boyfriend pursued me though (for a while). His Venus is conjunct mine by 1 degree. Our Venuses trine his mars. The theme is definitely more Venus for me than other ones. MoonMystic(I just flipped back to whole house.I'm 5th Mars-Aries)In my single days I was not shypursuing a mate, in general. If I was interested in someone I was pretty assertive. The Mars energy may be why many wouldn't let go though. Like dancing tango. I think Mars is a magnetic placement in the 5th perhaps.

Look to the rest of your chart. What's going on? It's not just your Mars in the 5th house.
