T O P I C R E V I E Wm.bladestereotyping is something I cannot stand and although it is something I hate and despise with all my heart; it is something that will change about the human mind as it is something pressed deep psychologically within us.As humans, we prefer certainty. We prefer the belief tjay we are secure and we by enlarge prefer the person that makes us believe we are safe. We prefer to believe the person who knows how to sweet talk; the diplomat, the people pleaser, the Venusian type. This need for certainity, the desire of groundedness and earthiness is what has caused over millennia, a constant strong of deception, of death, of betrayal, of war.It is a cycle which we will continue to go through and it always presents us with new challengers.Let's take the lgbt community for example. I for one can't stand these people. The higher social minds, the politicians, singers, rappers, the media has taken advantage of people's minds. We naturally stay away from things we fear and we are taught to, if we do not understand something or someone, we shun it or them and continue with this deep psychological belief that life will be ok.This need, this want, this longing for a set future and certainty is what has plagued the mind of people for years and has caused massacres, killings and deception for years; becaue lets be honest.. What is certain in this world? NOTHING.In society, we look for certainty, we want people to identify people by stereotypes set by different minds longing for different things; conflicting opinions and desires. 'religion is the opium of the people.' Religion is in another word, a way in which we look for certainty in life.slowly, we will move towards a more wider understanding of one another. Slowly, we are dissassembling branches of power. We slowly are beginning to understand one another, to accept our differences and to tolerate new things that approach us. And just as accurate to complain of straight guys always looking like crap, revving up engines to compete with that of a jet, and having orgasms whenever a game comes on TV. You know why gays seem to all be a certain way? Because of stereotyping. If you believe that's what gays are like then that's pretty much all you're going to see, all the other gays are just not going to register to you and thus be invisible because "if they were gay then they'd worship Lady Gaga" and therefore don't notice when someone else is gay.I've met far too many gays who don't care for Lady Gaga or fashion, in my experience most of them are fairly stereotypical men (what they sometimes call "straight acting") who are most attracted to the same type of men. That's the majority, not the minority. It's true I avoid the clubs and have never been on Grindr and it may be different there (just as the behavior of straight people changes drastically in many clubs and dating sites) so I can't speak of that...though I've heard one of the rare feminine gay men who would match the stereotype saying too many on Grindr claimed to be masculine who didn't want "feminine men" and felt like an outcast there.Even when stereotypes tend to be true they're just "the way to bet" as opposed to "that's what they're like." If it seems universally true then there's probably a lot of exceptions to the rule invisible to you as you fail to identify them for not living up to your preconceived notions. m.blade quote:Originally posted by PixieJane:It's more accurate to say teens care about fashion and Lady Gaga than gays. BUT i do have a problem with Men/Males, who wear lipstick, dress up in societized clothing that is originally ment for females taking pictures on facebook in a feminine accent wearing handbags & swag yolo, etc. This is not a good advertisement for the Human race, if another species saw this, we would be hunted down.Jokes aside, but as much as i'm against homophobia, being gay still isn't a NATURAL thing, not everyone want's to see two males who were born thinking they're women kissing eachother ... What why
Hmm maybe he meant the groups and not the individuals.Honestly the society within the lgbt community is so annoying, either sensitive victim types or ridiculous politics/drama and self hating while worshiping money hungry lady gaga as their chief goddess.I could never be apart of that tragic circus full of broken individuals.

A "knowing" just as wrong as everyone else who stereotypes.
