T O P I C R E V I E WFaithIn which house is your sun's ruler? To what extent are you affected by interests and concerns associated with that house? I have 12H Saturn ruling my Capricorn sun, and in some ways feel like I am "ruled" by 12H/Piscean issues. It's hard to explain or summarize, but I think it goes beyond my having a Pisces moon, and it goes beyond what the usual 12H Saturn readings say. It's a function of my sun's ruler being there. However, I haven't been able to find any literature on this topic. Not in my exhaustive ten minute Google search anyway. So I'm wondering, what are your experiences and opinions?Violets quote:Originally posted by Faith:However, I haven't been able to find any literature on this topic. Does it represent sports/games? Romance? Creativity? Children? Our inner child?I'm never quite sure exactly what to make of that house... (That probably wasn't a very helpful response.)FaithNo worries, I'm just fishing around for others' impressions and theories. You're right about the 5H, it's about all of those things. It's the house of Leo, and you have a Leo husband, so there's something. Plus you are a mom, that's another. And you paint your bathroom, so you are obviously artistic. I guess my question would be, do you feel that creative endeavors play a big, or even central, role in your life? LunaeI have a 5h Scorpio sun, conjunct ruler/s mars and pluto in the same house.Hmm. I never identified with my 5h placements before, but I'm starting to feel them now. It's only been last year since I learned to truly "have fun". The 5h relates to self-confidence if I'm not mistaken. I've had issues with that before but now, I feel very at ease with myself. Creativity-wise.. well I think I have an innate lack for it lol.I also just realized that I actually have a soft spot for teaching (college students, that is). I guess my question would be, do you feel that creative endeavors play a big, or even central, role in your life? That's a tough question, because my Neptune is the apex of a T-square with my Sun and Moon. But yes, essentially, they do. I love to paint, love music, and one of perks to being a parent for me is that I can shamelessly play on the playground equipment. But I think that my Sun/Moon squaring my Neptune creates a lot of blockages to my creativity. I get frustrated when I paint, and I always wanted to play an instrument but was never encouraged to do so, so I taught myself a little bit...but it's not like I can read or write music. So I suppose that's why I've dated musicians, and married one. Also, I love writing. I spent a good portion of my childhood and early adult years just...writing. But again with the T-square and critical Virgo Moon.So yes, I suppose creativity is a theme in my life, although a complicated one.And I do love having a family, and playing with my son. I would also say that "inner child" issues have played a huge role in my life, and ferreting those issues out. Well...it's 5 a.m. here, and I'm still drinking my coffee. So I'm probably rambling.Faith@Violets: Not rambling! I liked reading it! LOL about playing on the playground equipment. Me, too @Lunae: Thanks for your input, and I'm glad to hear you're starting to feel confident and have fun. Hope it just gets better and better. VioletsBut now that I think of it, family has always been important to me, even during the years that I was miffed with some of my family members. And now that I have a family of my own, that's pretty much what my life revolves around, and it makes me happy. Our family comes to our home for Christmas and Thanksgiving, and we have nice, big get-togethers, talking and laughing with each other. And there are an awful lot of Leos in my family, or Leo ACs.I think the 5th rules family and children, right?
