T O P I C R E V I E WtheunknownDo you relate to these descriptions? http://www.gretchenlawlor.com/articles/Your_Child_and_the_Moon.html StarlightSmileSupremeI have moon in Taurus exactly opposite Neptune and when I was a kid, I liked to bathe with my stuffed animals and then they would have to be thrown out because my mom said they would mildew and be toxic. My dad brought me this one stuffed dog covered in rabbit fur home from the war when he returned and then I put it in the bathtub and it had to be thrown out. I told my mom it would be okay. She insisted it was ruined. So that's what I liked to do with my fave stuff animals as a Taurus moon opposite Neptune. The thing about the garden, yes, I agree! Everything around me grows like crazy and wildlife is attracted to my yard and they always seem larger than normal and healthier. Same with plants. 12muddyCool link I do relate. Aries moon - In my eyes mom is a proud, assertive, fierce n crazy. I respect and admire those qualities. She also can be irritable, quick to explode. quote:Moon in Aries experiences the mother as adventurous and courageous, lively and assertive. On the flip side, mother may give the impression of being irritable quote:They tend to be quite spontaneous and uncomplicated in their emotional responses- quick to fire, quick to recover and forget.Want to be busy and active all the time. They naturally expect to be the center of attention in the family.Keke that describes me so well. When I was little.. heh you don't wanna know what kinda violent thoughts crossed my mind whenever I saw my parents smiled at or hugged another child. Active, yes way too active. People tried to teach me to be gentle n placid, to sit quietly n to smile prettily. But yeah, I like running around, climbing...etc... Broke some bones falling off the trees lol. People were always like "How will you ever be able to wear dresses n skirts when you grow up? Look at all those bruises n scars on your legs."My parents have aries moon too n now they keep telling me of how much I remind them of their younger selves theunknownSSS, interesting. I should start asking my taurus moon friends12muddy,Are you an aqua sun?I have noticed from watching Oscar that Aries moons mention their mother a lotSolar_Leo_QueenCancer moon says the mother is influential...yes she is, but not in a positive way. I'd never wanna be like my mom. It also says I will either try to replicate what she did in my own home life or do the exact opposite. In my case, I'm doing the opposite. It also says I'm very sentimental and it's hard for me to move homes. I can't agree with this fully because my Ascendant affects my moon since it's in the first house. I'm not as sentimental as the descriptions, although, I like looking at old photos and old things from my old houses. I do let things go more easily than what it says.------------------Gemini AscendantSun in LeoMoon in CancerMercury in VirgoVenus in VirgoMars in Libra"You were born a lion. Don't die a sheep." ~ Leos ♌️OdetteI only "so so" relate... I generally find Cap Moon interpretations a bit illogical. They often sound like an interpretation of Moon square Saturn - as opposed to an interpretation of Moon trine Saturn. quote:(The mother)is perceived by the child as a capable manager, serious and responsible, although not around as much as young Capricorn Moon might wish.I perceived and still do perceive my mum as very competent, ambitious, very intelligent, independent - definitely a career woman and a very strong person - she is a Leo with Scorpio Mars Capricorn stands for someone who earns people's respect easily.... so the interpretation of "manager, serious etc" - isn't really enough. That almost sounds like Virgo. Capricorn is more impressive than Virgo in terms of their CV.'Not around as much as I would like'... hmmm well she was very busy when I was young so she was only around on weekends.. but I didn't feel like I missed her much because I had my grandparents there. I don't feel like I would've wanted her to be around more to be honest. I love my mum.. I just didn't feel like I missed her. I was constantly talking to her during the week anyway.. so it felt like she was there. I have an exact Moon sextile Mercury aspect. We are constantly talking lol And she has a Gemini Moon. quote:a life that tends to get better with age.I think my life is constantly improving so maybe that makes sense. quote:Moon in Capricorn loves projects, and is soothed by organizing their toys or their rooms, or planning an outing or holiday.Actually I hate planning things.. but I do like organising my work/papers/essays/books.. things around the house, my room etc. I like projects that are more interesting than planning a holiday though. quote:They have excellent rapport with older people. An older relative, such as a grandparent can provide extra parenting and care that will make a profound difference to those early years. This is 100% accurate. I was very close to my grandparents while growing up. They were more like parents. They were also fairly young at the time (middle aged not 'elderly'), fit, healthy, very active/sporty and very liberal minded people.. not what you normally imagine when you think 'grandparents'. quote:This mother tends to discourage dependency, and many young Moon in Capricorn children are quite serious and capable for their age.Nope. Never.I haven't actually had anyone in my entire family - including my mother.. discourage dependency lol I wish they did!!My family is central European and they tend to smother me in affection - as opposed to discourage dependency. They encourage dependency TOO MUCH if anything. I have to beat them off with a stick.:edit: What they did discourage though is -marriage-.I have noticed a huge trend with the parents of Cancer Moon people encouraging marriage.. and the parents of Capricorn Moon people - making it very clear that the 'kid' should focus on their career as opposed to romantic things.I feel like this was very engrained in me from an early age... There was a general vibe in my family that love/romance/marriage etc is kind of trivial, whereas one's career is beyond important. quote:Being an Earth sign, this child needs tangible demonstrations of affection. They may not find it easy to initiate cuddles, but they respond well to receiving them. I do relate a lot to the Scorpio Moon child profile. I had a way of appearing to be sort of quiet, at times, but I rarely ever felt calm. Everything was emotionally charged and a huge deal. And I didn't think of my mother as the nicest, easiest person to get along with. In fact, I do remember feeling and even expressing a certain aversion and hatred toward her, even though I was still a kid (although never actually directly to her). I'd even make up stories about her not being my real mom. But, at the same time, I was attached at the hip with her. I see how the love-hate connection started. And all those qualities are still there and in me, now, even though I deal with and express them differently, as an adult. ------------------Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com
