T O P I C R E V I E WwhaaatSo from what I gather, in Western astrology the Nodes aren't normally associated with points of our downfall, but now that I think about it, I wonder- why not??It makes so much sense to me; The NN is the wound left from the past, a self inflicted wound where we let our negitive side rule over our better judgement, where we bought into destructive escapism and went down the wrong path, which would make the NN the Karma that we brought along with us to this life, the new temptations and unhealthy coping mechanisms that are different from the SN, but only because we've drank that well dry and moved on to the next best thing? (Like serial killers muhahaha)The way Ketu and Rahu are described as the 'head and tail of the dragon' makes me think of a snake swallowing it's tail. A never ending cycle of Karma?KeroseneIt makes sense if you believe in karma. In Hinduism and Buddhism we are perpetually going through samsara until we find moksha. So we all karmic debit and I suppose the placement of Rahu and Ketu can tell us what kind of debt. Like my Rahu is in the 8th house which the worst house it can be in. WooooooI believe 6 th house is the best placement manderinHi Kerosene. Actually the 12th House is the worst house Rahu can be in. You are correct that the 6th is the best house for Rahu. That's why the 12th (which is opposite from the 6th) is the worst house for him.Rahu is a materialistic planet so it does not do well in the house of escapism from the material world. When enemies, debt, and daily responsibilities arise (6th house matters) instead of dealing with them head on like Rahu in the 6th would, Rahu in the 12th will instead escape by listening to music or watching movies or just not paying any attention to the enemies and daily responsibilites that will eventually cause the native's downfall if they don't handle it.fairaquaI love this guyHe explains it so wellhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62MpIaH_voAseekinglightI have NN (is that Rahu?) in 12th. The downside is a lack of life direction, I seem to be floating through life. Though I believe in balancing through both nodes. Perhaps through social work, creative enterprise, etc? To have my whole life explained is a shocking and unexpected manner. I remember now! ------------------Leo ♌️ Sun Scorpio ♏ MoonCancer ♋ RisingSvātī NakshatrayellowelevatorI happen to have Rahu in the 6th, so of course that means I have Ketu/SN in 12th, and pretty much conjunct my Ascendant by about 4 degrees. I'm actually kind of surprised to hear that it is considered one of the best placements for Rahu to be in 6th, but I guess I'm looking at it like that because I think I feel so much of the pull from Ketu in 12th and it seems so hard for me to try and move past it and deal with 6th house matters (service, work, etc.) I know that it can take a certain amount of time though to begin moving into NN territory, and I'm 21 so maybe that is why. Whaaat, I really like your idea of Rahu/Ketu being like a snake that continually swallows its tail, that's a really interesting concept. ------------------Leo sunCancer ascendantGemini moon
