Babysmackle | I think the key are squares. They are initially bad but push someone to integrate their disparate parts...trines incline to lazyness...they are only good with squares...squares are ruled by saturn, so over time...the person overcomes challenges and becomes a master of time. |
manderin | Often times when I see an actor on tv who is just god-awful at acting, but for some reason still tends to have a career, I'll look at his/her chart and it will have grand trines in it. These people often seem to have life handed to them on a silver platter. They don't actually have to work hard to succeed. They can even be really bad at what they do and people will still support them and put them on top in life. Though the planets involved have a lot to do with it too. I think people with kite formations do better in life. They have both the trines and the drive to go for their goals as well. |
Venusincap89 | Wow this is really interesting topic Square between which planets though? |

How so? They can be pretty lazy in some ways isn't it? |
sag_stellium | Self made people - Saturn in 2nd. So I hear. My mom has Jupiter in 2nd. She was born into a well off family. Then she married my financially poor (not personality poor) father and realized this just sucks. Eventually, she got her stuff together, and now she's doing well. My parents divorced but that hasn't really affected her finances much. She's doing better than him. She always has. When I was 16, my mom would chase me around the house trying to teach me investment strategies. She has Ceres (nurturing) in 2nd (money). The sheer number of explosive fights we had over our significantly different investing styles during my teenage years was ridiculous. It's comical, but only in hindsight! My exbf has Jupiter conjunct Uranus in 2nd. My god. The man could go through money so easily. Not wealthy, but he made excellent $$ for his age (through earned income and investments) and then blew it all on a fancy sports car or something rash. Ever heard of keeping some savings aside just for, oh idk, later?? Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the cars! I moved to DC when I was 13. In my relocation chart, I've got so many planets in my 2nd. Money became a mild obsession. I was 14 when I got into serious investment books. I was very ADD back then so I would just pass them onto my mom who used them wisely. When I was 19, I spent a summer hanging out with a multimillionaire who tried to teach me his investment strategies. Unfortunately, he was more controlling than I could handle, so I ended the beneficial educational experience. It was not a romantic relationship fyi. No, I'm not wealthy. Lol. Need to get my sh*t together. |

I think a square between second house ruler and sixth and tenth. I also think the eighth house doesn't just deal with inheritance. The ninth is education so many eighth house people can become great psychologists as well as business men. I know many people with second house planets and more often than not they are not wealthy but always about that cash.... I think eighth house is business on the level of long term resource employment.....many unseen tycoons are eighth house.....and leaders of martial end resources. I think I met a guy with a kite placement. He was definitely very good at using people and he worked tirelessly to become a lawyer...although he hasn't graduated. He was very clever but he was also very unconscious of his shadow and I sensed a sadistic side to him that was very scary. I think planets with two sextile sand a trine between the sextiling planets is the best indication of long term growth with plenty of squares or oppositions...... |
Chiemi | ^maybe he was a sociopath. I just came a across an article on sociopaths and ironic enough,of the professions that have a higher chance of people like this lawyers was one of the top 10 |

Lol! I truly think he was....he was using me a lot but I'm subtle so I picked up on it and he exploded in rage during an online discussion when I analyzed his dreams and told him that he was watching too much of the naughty videos on t.v. |

By any chance do you work as an accountant or for a bank? You may want to consider it...I see accounting as potentially good vocation to support you're artistic merits. |
Venusincap89 | Nope... I never studied math after grade 11 for some reason... I really regret.. I am Asian too :'( |

depth | My boyfriend isn't a millionaire but he's well off without having to work. Good things fall in his lap and he doesn't have a grand trine or anything like that. I personally feel that people around him have spoilt him. There's always someone out there for him. He doesn't see the need to work nor do his parents encourage him to find a job. He has Sun/Jupiter in taurus in the 2nd. Strangely, Venus as the lord of the 2nd is at 0 Cancer opp Saturn/Uranus/Neptune. That opposition to Saturn should have pushed him toward hardwork but I guess since it's an opposition, he's acting like lazy Venus and projecting other planets. My mom has a kite in her chart and she did work hard to reach where she is today. Employers always favor her so that's where the trine factors in. She was born financially poor and had to grow. There are 2 hard aspects in my chart so you can call it a lazy chart. I have the intentions but not the motivation to earn. Things have always been easy and I like it that way. 2H in Pisces, Neptune in the 12th conjunct Uranus, trine Moon in the 8th and sextile Pluto in the 10th. |

I have this placement, and I'm starting to realize that it will take more hard work than I thought. But I will make myself, no doubt in my mind about it. Adding to that my life path number is 8, which basically means the same thing, that I'll have to work hard, but I'll make a **** ton. |

Sorry, but being rich and being hard-working is not the same thing. There are millions of hard-working people in the world who are not rich, they are even poor. We are talking about the two regions of the world, one developed, the other not so. I agree with you about squares vs. trines. Especially grand trines can bring things coming easy to you that you sometimes take for granted, or a talent that makes things easy, but I guess it is lesson there, about sharing, for instance. Squares push us to action. I think signs of wealth, I mean really being rich, like a millionare, have something to do with some spectacular configurations involving 2nd and 8th house, with Jupiter Saturn strong somewhere. Pluto in 8th in his own house can bring large inheritances. Neptune in 10th can bring popularity with large masses of people. |

Saturn in 2nd can also bring feeling like you never have enough and fear of poverty, so Saturn needs to be taken to a higher, spiritual level. |
FruitTreeFresh | How about opposites? Is it a good thing to have many opposites? |
vickymadness | 2H ruler conjunct ASC ruler. Exalted sun trine jupiter in 2H. and a saturn-venus-jupiter t-square. Beat me to it, btch.

Faith | Jupiter in Taurus: Howard Hughes, Aristotle Onassis (2H), Melinda GatesSecond House Jupiter: Princess Diana, Ted Turner, Leona Helmsley, Donald Trump, Ivana Trump, Bill Gates, Henry Ford, Francis Ford Coppola Saturn in Taurus: Vanderbilt Second house Saturn: Mark Zuckerberg, Richard Branson, Prince Charles, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Stanley Kubrick Also see Millionaire/billionaire aspects: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/015599.html

Faith | quote: In her book, The Art of Predictive Astrology: Forecasting Your Life Events (1), Carol Rushman mentions that people with positive Jupiter-Neptune aspects can become wealthy, possibly through faith and belief. She has also seen Jupiter trine Saturn and even Jupiter square Saturn in charts of the wealthy.

Babysmackle | Faith...those are interesting examples but Bill Gates and many of those people inherited wealth and built upon old money... I'm more interested in new money...or people who rise up through blood and sweat...not so much lucking out being born to the father of a prominent lawyer or real estate agent....like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates were... Donald trump is a good example but even he had a family line of connections I believe. Even Oprah serves as a puppet..,..I'm looking more for people who work from the bottom of a company and become the CEO....

Babysmackle | Like JP Morgan...who had saturn in scorpio... I think saturn in scorpio is the self made millionaire...investment banker tycoon if aspected well.. |

MoonWitch | I've been told my husband's chart indicates success in finances. I don't remember why, though. He is self-made, runs a couple of successful businesses, etc.

page one | Mars, Jupiter and Pluto all conjunct, plus his Sun's on the cusp of the 2nd. |
