T O P I C R E V I E WlisalisaSo has the ruler of the moon a significance in the natal chart? What if the ruler of the moon is not aspected by the moon itself, could the house placement of the ruler or the sign it's in, give another dimension to the moon? For example a moon in aquarius in the 1st sextile uranus in the 9th could this person have affinity with 9th house stuff? charlieFunny!! I was JUST sitting in kitchen thinking about this! I have Cap Moon 5H opp. Leo Saturn 11H and would like to know what this means! *waits for answers*Aries23Degrees quote:Originally posted by lisalisa:So has the ruler of the moon a significance in the natal chart? For example a moon in Aquarius in the 1st sextile Uranus in the 9th could this person have affinity with 9th house stuff? I think it does. In the above example,if the Asc is in Aquarius, the ruler of the 6th(Moon)is in the 1st. This would give someone strong "Virgo" traits.Strong intellectual focus etc.If Capricorn,it would lend more Libra traits-as the Moon would be the ruler of the 7th and found in the 1st. Ever the diplomat and usually desiring partnerships, friendships and marriage. The sextile to Uranus in both will enhance the traits. So a sextile to Uranus from the Moon does make the individual a little bit of a maverick and a tad unconventional. Not to mention very independent. If the Moon in 6th is influenced by the 9th,we may find someone whose everyday habits, health and routine(6th)is influenced by academic reading, travelling or different cultures(9th).So we may find someone who likes foreign/exotic foods in their diet, incorporates foreign philosophies in their health regiment i.e advanced yoga, meditation etc.If the Moon in 7th is influenced by the 9th, you may find someone who has many friends from foreign countries, married to someone of a different racial background or works with foreigners a lot on a one-on-one basis etc. GabbyHmmm...my moon is unaspected. Virgo moon in 12thMy mercury is conjunct Sun/Neptune on cusp of 2/3rd houseSo if your theory is correct my Sun and Moon do relate to each since it's a mercury Moon in Neptune's house, conjunct my Sun in mercurys house.Trust me, communication is everything that I'm about...emotionally I'm so drawn and feel a huge need to express and help others with the information I've gained from my life experience from the pain I've endured. It's my moon that shows the extreme abuse I've went through...if you go read the moon aspects that considered the most painful moon placements, just 1 is painful, I have 5 of them...lol...which is at least half or more of all of them.1) Virgo moon2) 12th house moon3) Unaspected Moon4) Moon conjunct Dejanira5) Moon conjunct ChiildBut my sunny, saggy stellium must be a huge helper. I've always wondered how I stayed so optimistic when my painful moon issues, supposedly where all bottled up by themselves in my 12th. This actually makes sense. I also have a (mercury) gemini mars in 9th.(nearly unaspected also, it makes an out of sign trine to Uranus(5 degrees) my Mars is retrograde so it's moving away from that trine with Uranus. But my gem Mars in 9th shows even more mercury touching saggy...which goes along with my saggy stellium in mercs house.I'm so cappyMy Moon is square its dispositor in the 5th house and I do have affinity with some of its matters. The thing is that house is packed ------------------I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.CeridwenI have an unaspected Moon as well, funny enough, its dispositor, Uranus, is unaspected as well. lolNevertheless, while my Moon is in Aquarius in 2nd house, the ruler, Uranus, in Scorpio on the cusp of 11th house. I definitely feel that Uranus-Pluto-mix in my emotional way of being. of course my Moon is also the focal planet of my tightest midpoint picture.Moon=Mercury/Pluto 0°02and additionallyMoon= Sun/Pluto 0°24Nevertheless I find the dispositors to be quite significant. For example I have a Stellium in Sagittarius (Sun, Mercury, Mars, Neptune, NN, ASC), and my Jupiter in Pisces in 3rd house really does channel and expresses that Sagittarius-energy. CeridwenHere is an article on dispositors"What all dispositors do is provide an outlet for the energy of the planet–an end result of the planet’s experience of the house it occupies. Again, going back to basics (and something often forgotten) a planetary energy is expressed in the area of experience defined by the house it resides in. The sign gives the flavour of the energy–thick, slow and sweet, like Taurus, or fleeting, refined, electric in Aquarius. Colour, flavour, however you want to describe it, it isn’t to be confused with the area of experience, the area of operation for the planet, which is defined by the house. Once the planet has experienced the house and reacted with the flavour/colour it was born with, the result of the ensuing friction/change will end up in the house where the dispositor resides." http://theinnerwheel.com/2011/06/24/first-steps-the-solar-secret-agent/ EDIT:It does not necessarily have to be a thing of friction or tension, but the dispositor modifies the sign expression and/ or indicates where we pour out a lot of that energy as well. In my case a lot of energy flows into the 3rd house, and I can talk, write, verbalize all day long.
