margym0o | ...or lack thereof? What would cause someone to be more "serious" or very hard to make laugh? Or not much of a "giggler"? Someone who would only laugh at very specific things/people but find most silly jokes not very funny? |
PixieJane | I think my love for humor comes from my packed 5H Sag stellium. I'm especially amused by play on words, irony, or almost anything that's surprising (especially a twist ending), though exaggerated and over the top reactions and silliness can work as well. I also have a gallows humor that I have to watch as not everyone can handle it, which I think may be partially due to my Saturn and Pluto in stellium (and on Scorpio cusp) as much as my 5H Sag. I expect many will say Saturnian (like myself, but good aspects IMO) and Cappie placements are a barrier to humor though most I've known with such placements (or at least a Cap sun when I knew nothing else about them) often had a strong sense of humor (tends to be more slapstick than mine but still present). My Scorpio mom (with placements to take herself very seriously) didn't much interest in humor (though she laughed over cruel things, not sure if that's actually humor, however) and couldn't stand my Sag father's endless humor (which could be mocking and I expect when they were younger he directed that mockery at others which my mom then appreciated) and pranks. |
Koniucha | I have mercury rx in Scorpio. I have a dry sense of humor and tens to laugh at things others don't. I am also quite sarcastic and great at dead pan. |
Soltze | My dad has a Mercury/Neptune/Uranus conjunction. Oh boy he laughs at the craziest stuff, and you never know if he's serious or kidding when he says something. Must be the Neptune :-DMaybe Mercury/Saturn would make a person less humorous?

Free Leon | Best Dry Humor Award goes to my Capricorn Sun, Aries Moon, Gemini Rising friend. He's hilarious in a mature way; always pointing out the absurdities in life with his quick wit |

Actually, the person I had in mind when I posted has Mercury square Saturn. It's very hard to make him laugh! He seems to enjoy a more dry sense of humour or jokes at someone's expense/misfortunes. He doesn't find everyday silliness or "potty humour" very funny. |

I have Mercury conjunct Uranus too. I always laugh at weird things or think something is funny that no one else does. Or laugh like a maniac if its really funny |
Soltze | Merc/Uranus is cool; as a Gemini I always find peculiar humour interesting because it makes me think :-D About Mercury square Pluto for exemple...I know people with it. The sheer glow in their eyes when they go for sarcasm...very rough and dark. Not appropriate for sensitive souls. But can be funny if the person has good aspects that cut the meaness |
FruityLlama | Mercury in Taurus, jupiter in sag, cancer asc, I am a massive fan of British humour which os like a mix between dry and silly- I am pretty patriotic when it comes to comedy- its the only thing we do well ahaha |
DopGang | I've always tied it to moon. Or maybe moon and mercury.
