T O P I C R E V I E Wkrltn94What is it that makes them such grounded people? charlieI have a Cap Moon, Virgo Asc and Mars, Taurus Jupiter, MC and SN. I crave and long for nature everyday and that is the sole place where I regain my inner balance and strength! It's almost as if being outside fills my every pore with life!! In dire situations I always keep my cool and I tend to me the calmest and most logical of the bunch involved. It comes natural to me.Not only am I down to earth but I am "rooted" in earth. My roots are long and thick and people can lean heavily on me in various situations. I am thinking this MIGHT be my Cap Moon but can be wrong. Other Cappies have to chime in Only problem I see is that sometimes I am so laid back I come across as not interested in what's going on :-/mereiposaI have a Cap moon, Virgo Venus and Mars, but then mostly water. I love to be in nature, and it is how I get centered. I can't stand to be cooped up, especially when it is sunny. I would rather be in the mountains among the trees than anywhere else in the world. I find I am calm in crises, and people lean on me a lot. I am ok with this, and actually it feels good to be the one people trust. I just try to balance myself so I can be there for them. I agree with Charlie about long and strong roots. The symbolism of a tree resonates the most with me. I want to be a tree that stands tall and proud, shelters others from the storm, long branches to provide comfort... I want to be there for years to come, the one that my loved ones can count on.krltn94 quote:Originally posted by mereiposa:I have a Cap moon, Virgo Venus and Mars, but then mostly water. I truly admire the earth signs so much for their groundedness, I feel like they don't get the much needed recognition they deserve in Astrology. Much of what you described resonates somewhat with me as well as I am a Capricorn Ascendant and feel as though I provide that grounded feeling at times for others to lean on.TDon't forget......the earth contains fire. ....think....volcanos..... There's a lot of passion hidden beneath our depths. (and I don't mean only sexual, passion is much more than that)It just take awhile to see that side of us - what's underneath all the layers, but it's worth exploring.I'm a triple earth sign and happen to in general really love my fellow earth sun signs, or heavily earth influenced. Unless you have a lot of earth in your own chart, I think we can be hard to figure out....at first. Maybe? StubbornVirgoVirgo stellium + Capricorn stellium. We're generally reliable, stable and patient folks who work hard and like to take care of those we care about. Devoted to our families and friends. Absolutely okay with being needed. The calm and cool heads in a crisis. Able to withstand just about anything. A lot of us are the glue in our family units. But as the previous poster mentioned, earth contains volcanoes. We can lose our tempers just like a fire sign would, it just takes a lot longer to do so. It also takes us a lot longer to cool down. But once when we do, we'll think it over and come to a pretty reasonable conclusion. We're just as emotional as any water sign, too. I liken our emotional states to a deep sea, which can sometimes be quite tumultuous. We just hide it very well. People mistaken our cool and calm exterior as cold, but we're far from it. You're not likely to pick up on our emotions unless you're another earth sign or a very analytical, perceptive person, though.12muddyBeing grounded is alright I guess. Although if I could live in the clouds I'd do that. Or living like a gush of wind would be nice. When I was little one of my favourite games was to pretend to be a gush of wind, running on green grass and on top of tall trees, but not quite touching it... Then one day I was too excited and broke my leg while trying to "fly". Lol.Teachers always wrote comments like "Poor concentration", "Not paying attention in class"....etc..Heh I can't ignore that I have "earthy" needs and responsibilities. I attend to them, not with distaste, weariness or tiredness. I don't think about it much. But well I'm not always fully "present" anyway lol. mereiposayou know what's funny, though... I don't always feel grounded. I don't always feel like I should be the one people come to, because inside of me there is so much swirling emotion. But, when I am needed, I do become more stable and grounded for that other person. I agree very much with the fire underneath. it's just a balance of keeping it in and letting it out, I guess. I had a pretty bad temper for most of my life. finally learning how to reel it in.DopGang quote:Originally posted by mereiposa:you know what's funny, though... I don't always feel grounded. Well said. That's how I feel. I think we don't feel that grounded and our "struggle" to find our grounding makes us appear extremely grounded to others. Like you said, what we feel and what we are don't always match up. MidnitehourI have cap in venus, moon, mercury, saturn, uranus, and neptune. Many previous posts pretty much summed up everything about earth signs. I use my head more than I use my heart but there are times where there are exceptions. Patient but volatile when situations aren't the way I perceived them. Calm and stable in times of crisis you really see this trait in action.I have thick skin and my emotions run deep. Although I have a 'poker face' on. People label me as aloof or serious (probably cause I'm too focus on the future). I get so wrapped up with succeeding (reaching the top) just for the sake of myself that sometimes it overwhelms me but I grind it out, no matter how tough it is. If there's a will, there's a way!I'm like an onion, once you start peeling each layer, you truly see who I am and what I'm about. There's more than meets the eyes! There's a lot going on inside and than outside. It's a constant battle between myself. As for being grounded, its a half truth. It really depends where you are looking from, the kitchen window or the front window. For others it seems like I'm grounded but from my POV, I'm really not grounded. I set unimaginable goals and If i don't reach them I find new goals to replace. Maybe, I'm not satisfied or it isn't good enough. quote:Originally posted by T:Don't forget......the earth contains fire. ....think....volcanos..... Saturn sextile ASC. Mercury in the 6th House. People constantly lean on me - whether I want them to or not. Lol. Even my own Mother relied quite heavily on me from a very young age. I matured quite early! So I've always been much more mature than most folks my own age. I like to be composed and dignified. I definitely have a temper though! And I have very deep emotions. Everyone isn't "allowed in" on that level though, it's a sacred place of mine. We're "boring" to many Fire-dominant people. But truthfully...they are often quite boring to Earth people! Due to a lack of substance with them. Fire sometimes is too much about "putting on a show" than really being sincere and taking action on their claims. Layers. Layers are sexy in a person.
