Belage | http://www.theguardian.com/science/2015/sep/28/nasa-scientists-find-evidence-fl owing-water-mars What could be the astrological implications? |
Belage | They are saying that there used to be much more water on Mars, and that something happened to Mars to lose its water. It sort of validates the ancient rulership of Mars for Scorpio. |
LittleBlackCat | This is actually very fascinating. As soon as I saw your post title the Scorpio / Aries Mars thing came to mind. Do you suppose that ancient astrologers were aware of the water on Mars? |

Yes maybe they came from mars 30.000 years ago.. j/k |
athenegoddess | I think Mars used to be inhabited like Earth is, but the inhabitants destroyed the planet by blowing it up. Basically by everything that Mars represents .. war, etc. That is why it looks red. |
LeeLoo2014 | ...or because it's covered in iron dust. Welcome to reality! |

You might be on to something. Those scientists are saying that it seems that Mars used to be like the Earth. |

I really don't know. I think the ancient astrologers assigned planetary rulerships to signs by observing what happened on earth in connection to those planets and signs. They must have noticed that Mars had a dual quality. that it could be fire as in Aries and watery as in Scorpio.
|
Belage | i also think that now that humans are aware that there is water on Mars, the watery quality of mars are going to be more pronounced in our lives. |

The earth is covered in water does that mean all that is all it is? water?
where does the iron dust come from? or is it just a label scientist have placed on it? you believe in astrology but don't think mars' representation in astrology is based on reality? interesting. |

I think the understanding of science is kind of limited here. The earth is covered in water but there are different elements and components in each set of water. Mars's iron oxides come from meteor bombardment about 4 billion years ago. http://summitlake.com/wp_1astronomy/?p=348 that link will also help you with more of the harder to understand aspects around this. However, we've known Mars used to have water on it for a long time, but we just discovered it has current water now. I believe this might be a metaphor with how scorpio once ruled mars then took an "underground" back seat (something scorpios are famous for) so Aries could be first and front in center (Aries is also famous for that)but then Scorpio might have gotten ticked off from Aries and decided that Aries needs to take a back seat again. Therefore, the water element immerses to become more aggressive and less underground. ------------------ Cap Sun Leo Moon Aqua Merc Aqua Venus Cap Mars Libra Rising Leo MC ~~~Blessed Be~~~~ |

I was trying to say it is red because of the iron, not the blood of the alien warriors. Welcome to the solar system...again People assigned the name Mars (their war god) to this planet because the red inspired the idea of Mars in people. Not the other way around. ------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... AstroMandala New Profiles |
athenegoddess | The red inspired the idea of Mars in people? Mars isn't what it is because of its color. It has a purpose that didn't come about because humans saw it was red and decided it was the god of war and afterwards just so happened to rule Mars manifestation of every human being and all life.

Still doesn't disprove what I was saying. And water is the dominant element on earth and the physical wouldn't exist without it. My body is made up of water does that mean my body is only H20 and nothing more? I guess it depends on how much you know yourself. What I'm saying is there is much more than meets the eye in everything.
