T O P I C R E V I E Whannaramaa10th is supposed to rule career and 6th rules daily work, but what if you're not in a long-term career yet and just working a job that pays bills. Can 6th house qualify to represent that?RandallBump!AstraThe 6th house shows what your work environment is like. It doesn't matter whether you are working at your chosen career or you working a minimum wage job. It reflects your relationships with your coworkers and can show how easy (or hard) it is for you to get a job. KoniuchaPart of my 6th house is in Sag, most in Cap. Neptune also lives there. What would that mean?hannaramaa quote:Originally posted by Astra:The 6th house shows what your work environment is like. What's the difference between what my work environment is like and the 10th house describing the work you do?ReadingTheStars95I always saw the 6th house as HOW we work, while the MC is more what we actually do for work.. So.. Let me put it like this..For example... Taurus on the 6th house cusp may show someone who works deliberately and steadily.. But, possibly at a somewhat slower pace.. However, possibly willing to go through with a slightly monotonous task than some of the others. The 10th house is more about where that energy is applied.bansheequeen^Hmmmm I have aqua 6th house cusp. I do wrok chaotically lol. Sometimes I really want to do it and I stay up trying to finish a project, sometimes I need to force myself and I dont really put my effort into it.NineI've scored many jobs, especially when desperate, while tSun went through my 2nd houses (Cancer & Libra).Don't forget about your 2nd house. quote:10th is supposed to rule career and 6th rules daily work, but what if you're not in a long-term career yet and just working a job that pays bills. These work in binary, and a lot of our purpose, or what we are doing here is indicated through the natal chart. I believe more in using astrology to pinpoint ‘natural talent’ and where creative talent flows from the individual, rather than directing people to specific careers in a prophetic/predictive way. Careers and professions have changed dramatically throughout the history of astrology. And when we are playing with our natural talents, we are usually happy because this is our love, our own music. It’s like we find our delight in the 5th house and offer it as service in the 6th house, get a degree with it in the 9th house and build an industry around it in the 10th so really, the whole chart can be a guiding force. I believe, someone with a lot of 6th house planets and aspects will feel most alive, and fulfilled in health/service roles, someone with a lot of Sagittarius/Jupiter will want to philosophize and study and travel, someone with a lot of Mercury is here to write and someone with a lot of 5th is here to perform bring the creative to any industry that inflames them. It’s the whole thing, not just the ‘10th house of careers’ or the ‘midheaven’. Every aspect that weaves the tapestry contributes to the whole design. This is the design of what we are here to do with the multiple unique gifts and talents we have. We are not compartmentalized people, so there is no use treating the chart like that when we are using astrology for direction…CAstrolocherry.I think thats really interesting!hannaramaa quote:Originally posted by aah08:From Astrolocherry facebook pageAstrology and CareerWe are all here for a purpose - our own and a contribution to humanity/mass consciousness. I guess I am workaholic. I never say no to extra hours. Holidays and weekends used to be dread when I was younger but now I appreciate free-time, too. I have sometimes heard that the house of moon is house of your heart and I guess working is nearest my heart of all things.Aatifah21I have a lot of placements in my 6th house, 5 planets and my node. I don't know if this helps, but I can tell you that I am intensely focused on making other people happy and being of service. Clients and customers tend to like working with me, from when I was a cashier up until now as an engineer in the tech industry. I'm great with customer service, and it's genuine. None of that "hi how are you?" crap , when the person really doesn't give two ***** . When I ask someone how they're doing you can tell it's genuine...anyway I digress. I've also been very neurotic when it comes to work. I worry a lot and it makes me very efficient because I'm always on top of things but it at one time it was so bad it was unhealthy. Don't let me forget to do something Friday night and leave home! The whole weekend I'll be worrying about it, unable to let it go until Monday morning when I can fix whatever needed fixing. I've made a lot of progress now though, I adhere to the philosophy of keeping work and work and home at home. So I come to work, kick butt and leave haha that's my motto.------------------Asc GeminiSun Scorpio 6thMoon Pisces 10thMercury Scorpio 6thVenus Scorpio 6thMars Sagittarius 7thJupiter Scorpio 6thSaturn Aquarius 10thUranus Capricorn 8thNeptune Capricorn 8thPluto Scorpio 6thAatifah21What is going on here this is the 3rd thread I posted to where I can't see my previous post.
