T O P I C R E V I E WSteph22922Hi Lindaland! I thought it would be an interesting experiment to see how many people find similarities between their natal charts and the natal charts of family members. Most of the time you can find similar aspects, placements or themes in charts of those who are closely related. It might even be considered karmic. In my own family, I've found that Scorpio and Pluto are prominent in my families' charts. My dad is Scorpio sun, one of my sisters is Scorpio rising, and me, my mom and my other sister are all plutonian, having pluto aspecting a majority of our other planets. And my niece is scorpio moon. Air signs are another similarity. I am an Aquarius sun, both of my sisters are Aquarius Moon, my mom is Gemini Moon, my dad is Libra Moon and my nephew is a Gemini moon. Also my grandma on my mom's side is Gemini sun. Between me and one sister, My sun is at 29 degrees Aquarius and her moon is at 29 degrees Aquarius. Both my sisters have a fire sun sign and air moon sign, while I have air sun sign and earth moon sign. Another pattern I noticed is that my Grandma is Gemini sun, then my mom is Gemini Moon, Taurus Sun. I am Taurus moon, Aquarius sun. There seems to be a trend of one child of the next generation taking on the sun sign of the parent as their moon sign. I wouldn't be surprised if one of my future children has Aquarius as their moon sign since it's my sun sign.Take a look at the charts between your own family members and see what similarities (or even blatant differences) you can find!WhiteSunshine314yes i have found this to be true as well! The moon and mars are very prominent in mine. I am a cancer asc, my father a cancer sun, my mom cancer moon and sister moon conjunct asc. Also I have aires venus, father aires moon, mother aires sun, and sister stellium in first houseLostinwebI've noticed this in my family, too. I think there are generational trends. For example my Grandfather had Cancer sun Sagi moon and my Gramma had Aqua sun Taurus Moon. My mom and her sisters: two Scorpio Suns with Libra moon, 1 has Capri sun Aqua moon. I'm the daughter of one of the Scorp Libras. I have Pisces sun, Sagi Moon. One sister is Cancer Leo. The other is Capri Sagi. Yes we had a fiery household!! My poor dad was Aqua-Virgo. I don't think he knew what was going to hit him at any given time, lol! I think the other Scorp sister had children that are all water signs, and the Capri had 1 Aqua, and 1 Scorp. My own children are Scorp-Aqua, Libra- Capri, and Double Sagi. My fellow water sun sis has a Taurus-Pis, Libra- Aries, and Pisces-Scorp. The Earth sis has a double Virgo and a Leo-Capri.There's more but you get the idea!! DopGangI have also noticed. I began to think that it's deliberate (God, universe, whatever higher power if you believe in one) Because it's our family. We develop with our families and we can learn about our identities from our family. To some degree our family is our identity, at least early on. I wonder what child/parent/sibling charts look like with adopted children. StubbornVirgoMom is Cap Sun, Aries moon while dad is Aries Sun, Taurus Moon. Both me and my sibling have Moon conjunct Mars. I have a Cap stellium and my sibling has a stellium in his 2nd house. Mars aspects most of the planets in my chart.Mom is a Cancer rising and my dad has Mars in Pisces in his 12th. My moon and Mars are in my 4th house and my siblings Mars is in his 12th house.Me, my dad and my sibling all have Saturn in 12th house.Scorpio is a strong one for us, too. Mom has Venus in Scorpio, sibling has Moon in Scorpio, while I have Sun/Mercury conjunction in 8th house and Scorpio MC.Stelliums, yods and intercepted signs also run in our family. The yods usually conjunct one another too. There's probably more, but I'll have to look later.Edit: I can also attest to the generational trends. At least when it comes to sun signs....grandmother is a Virgo and grandfather is an Aquarius. I'm a Virgo with a Virgo stellium and my sibling is an Aquarius with a stellium in that sign too.KoniuchaMy siblings and I all have moon - Pluto aspects. Astrology and family similarities in birth charts are just another facet of this. I suppose it's possible that we can be destined to take on certain traits of family members because of certain aspects we have in our chart. Or that certain placements in our charts make us more likely to react a certain way to parts of our family's personalities. And that is an interesting question about adopted children. I'd imagine there's some kind of synastry between parents and adopted kids that drew them towards each other.Steph22922Thanks for all the replies so far everyone!
