T O P I C R E V I E WYoursTrulyAlwaysI have a 12th House in Aquarius with Venus and Saturn in it. I'm trying to understand it.Typical astrology BS is.. oh 12th House bad.. Venus there.. man.. must be a cheater... but it's alright if it's a woman, right?... please. Heard that all before. Please. None of that BS.These are what I have found, and I'm trying to understand. Thank you.12th House in AquariusYou’re far more of a humanitarian than you come across as, and need to help other people in this life. When comfortable, you’re innovative, independent, and a rebel. You can have a hard time dealing with people in a group.Natal Venus in the 12th HouseWith your natal Venus in your 12th house, you can get lost in love. You let people take advantage of you as long as you believe they love you and need to stand up for yourself. You can be attracted to all types of people, and are highly compassionate. You want a karmic connection to your partner, looking for a soul mate. You may feel like you have to make sacrifices for love, but you give up too much. You can keep your affection to yourself when in public, and prefer to keep things behind closed doors. It may be hard for you to open up about love, and you may seem quite shy with matters of the heart.Natal Saturn in the 12th HouseWith your natal Saturn in your 12th house, you believe that you should deal with your responsibilities on your own, and that your burdens are yours alone. You have a hard time allowing other people to help you with your problems, and can isolate yourself as a result. Guilt, insecurity, and anxiousness can plague you, and the more you withdraw, the worse it gets. You may run away from your problems, afraid of dealing with them. Growing up is hard for those with this placement, and there’s usually something in your past that weighs on you and holds you back. You have to learn to let go and to let other people in. You won’t find the happiness that you need until you do. Dreaminess"Natal Venus in the 12th HouseWith your natal Venus in your 12th house, you can get lost in love. She is very very weak when it comes to love and gets walked all over. She will sacrifices what she wants just to please some d u m b a s s that is not worth pleasing. All the guys she`s been in love with have taken advantage of her and only use her for sex and they only contact her when they want sex but sometimes when they are with her they can say something she wants to hear just to keep her under control because they need her for sex. If she sees one good thing about a guy but the rest is bad( and by bad i mean reeeeeally bad) she will hold onto that one good thing and try to ignore the rest or convince herself that it might get better. Sooooo so true for her if she thinks a guy likes her she lets herself be used, very sad. Hope she gets to experience the better side of this venus placement someday. Seimei step1 12th house not badKarma and lessons with learning to love and be loved unconditionally.Or maybe you have much of that under your belt so to speak and your stuck going around teaching others which is not exactly pleasant until you find the right partner who understands you. Look at it in context as well.Cap is on the eleventh only I may not assume.Taurus and Libra houses 3 and 8 or possibly 2 and intercepted 7th. At any rate I understand your trying under those energies in the 12th but context is needed.------------------LeekingCheeYoursTrulyAlwaysOK. Thanks for your input. But I've been married for 22 years. Surely that speaks to be able to "finding the right partner who understands."The Cap starts in 10th and crosses into 11th.I have no specific questions beyond attempting to understand what the Saturn and Venus placement mean.DopGang quote:Originally posted by YoursTrulyAlways:OK. Thanks for your input. But I've been married for 22 years. Surely that speaks to be able to "finding the right partner who understands."Exactly. I know for fact, from experience that we can mature and outgrow our negative traits. Or simply that aspects and placements manifest in different ways for all of us. I have three personal planets in the 12th. The way I look at the 12th is like this. For example, let's say you're a Buddhist and you live in a city FILLED with Christians. It's all you hear about. You see Christianity on buildings when you drive by, when you turn on the television. People talk about it as you wait in line. You can't help but to think, "Is there something wrong with me? Do I need to try to be Christian? It's not me though." It can be very confusing and depressing even. Until you realize that there's nothing wrong with you. I don't mean that it has to do with religion. It's just like being in England when you are from America. It's like, "They're speaking English. I'm speaking English. But it's different somehow. Am I doing it wrong?" Then you realize none of it's wrong. That's how I see the 12th in a nutshell. Kibriana quote:Originally posted by Dreaminess: Hope she gets to experience the better side of this venus placement someday. Which "better side" would that be? bananazMy 12th house is ruled by Aquarius, but all 4 of my planets there are in Pisces, including Venus. I read something a long time ago to look where the ruler of your 12th is housed. So find where Uranus is in your chart to see how it connects. This website offers decent descriptions/meanings: http://www.astrofix.net/2010/05/25/ruler-of-the-12th-house-in-houses/ For me Venus took over my imagination when I was younger. I had a starry-eyed version of romance/love that was very naive. The 12th house is the undoing of Venus and everything it represents. So for me, falling in love in itself was my undoing.Certainly doesn't mean a person can't be happy though. I've been with my husband almost 8 yrs now, and honestly, it feels like time makes the relationship better.Venus also represents what we love and value. It's a very creative planet, and natives with the placement tend to have very active imaginations. They have a knack for art and story-telling because it's so easy for them to get lost in their own world.YoursTrulyAlwaysThe Ruler of my 12th House is Uranus in my Seventh House of marriage and partnerships. What does this mean? It's absolutely not this:Ruler of the 12th house in the 7th houseThe activities of the 12th house serve the agenda of the 7th house. Releasing grief and sorrow, loss, spending time alone, melting into formless bliss, escaping from reality and becoming aware of the self-undoing serve cooperation, conflict, significant partnerships and negotiations. You experience sadness and loss through significant relationships. You get in touch with your spiritual side through marriage and committed partnership. You marry an ex-con. Dreams show you your marriage partner. You have an otherworldly, spiritual connection with your significant other. Involvement with people who need help affects your significant relationships. Your grief and sorrow affect your relationships. You bring all of your sadness to your partners. Your experiences with loss and sadness fuel a business venture. You become a lawyer on behalf of a hospital or charitable organization. Your interest in paranormal and psychic phenomena affects your significant partnerships. Being in a hospital, prison, or other institutional environment is a way to meet that someone special. You experience loss, grief and sadness when you try to relate to other people. The desire to escape reality affects your ability to maintain a serious relationship. Your approach to significant relationships is dreamy and unfocused. You bring imagination to your partnerships. You find it easier to deal with daily tasks when you’re with someone. The self-undoing occurs in significant partnerships. You want to experience complete bliss with your partner. You want to experience complete merging with your partner. You want a partner who desires to escape from reality as much as you do. You lose your boundaries when it comes to significant relationships. You transcend boundaries through significant relationships.Sunnya quote:Originally posted by YoursTrulyAlways:Natal Saturn in the 12th HouseWith your natal Saturn in your 12th house, you believe that you should deal with your responsibilities on your own, and that your burdens are yours alone. She's fun and clear. She doesn't have a video specifically mentioning your planets but if you request her to do one she might. Check her facebook. Essentially, according to jewel mayberry, the 12th is our uncomscious so planets there or signs on the cusp will be our blind spot. (I think she uses whole sign or equal)ElysiaIMO, Venus in the 12th gives a Neptunian flavour to Venus (a bit like natal Venus-Neptune aspects do).I'll try to summarise what I've read about this position. There's a strange relationship with material things - you may deny your materialism, believing it's something to be ashamed of, while at the same time being deeply attached to *your* things. You may be unaware of the effect you have on people. For instance, though people may deem you attractive, you think the opposite - or have a hard time believing it when told. You are a humanitarian at the core, and the type of love you seek is transcendental. You natural role is that of a 'giver', may find the 'receiving' hard to take. When you find true love you tend to lose yourself in the other, and idealise them. SunnyaThanks for the link pire. I will check it out. My materialism seems to be part of my outward manifestation, so the other stuff doesn't really work.
Thank you.
