T O P I C R E V I E WCapriciousCapricornIs Uranus transiting 1st house, especially when conjunct Asc, as bad as Uranus going through 7th house? I mean the commonly associated instability in relationships, abrupt changes, divorces, break ups etc. It's not the same as 7th house transit of course but because inevitably Uranus will oppose Dsc and/or 7th house elements, it should affect the affairs of that house too.Correct? What are your experiences?RandallBump!YellowGerberaI got this permanently lol! Uranus right on Asc in 1st house natally.I think unexpectedness is pretty common in my life so I learned to not expect anything cuz I got tired to get disappointed Relationship-wise, it's not as spontaneous or unstable though... Maybe because my 7th house is empty? teaselMy sister got engaged, and the married, with this transit.I also have it conjunct my ascendant natally, and it probably explains the sudden changes in relationships in general. IsaWell, I had Uranus conjunct the ASC awhile ago. It opposed two planets in my 7th. Nothing relevant relationship wise, I just changed my hair and it was a mess. Thats about it! EmGemi have it exact on my ASC natally too Makes life interesting to say the least.StawrMy friend is an Aries asc. 23 Degrees. She is pregnant, and the father is undecided how involved he wants to be. Maybe because my 7th house is empty? I am the same. Uranus sitting squarely on my ASC makes for a very different relationship each time. Maybe because it opposes my Jupiter in 7th, but forces beyond my control force me to move from relationship to relationship. It sucks, because I'm not the type to drop dudes at the drop of a hat.I adapt to change very easily the is to this, because I've never quite folded into the crowd in the first place. Just too different.Aries23DegreesThought I would bump this up.My experience of this transit has been more impersonal than personal. But in the same breath, taking that which is "impersonal" and having it being "personal".This transit will stay in my first house for 5 more years(more or less). But so far its effect has been to politicize my personality.I think that this awareness came about when it squared Mercury and went up to my Asc point in Aries by conjunction.Throughout that time I became more vocal and the defender of social justice; no sexism, no racism, no homophobia, no ageism, no classism, no discrimination under any grounds. As it is still stationed in my 1st house however, I have not become "detached" as one would expect of this transit. I have become more socialy conscious. And this state of "consciousness" affects my personal relations.Like I find it difficult to be with someone or mantain a relationship with someone who is indifferent to what is going on in the social sphere. It will not work.Add to that, I have become even more assertive(or combative) in going head to head with people who make derogatory statements or unfounded claims on any race/religion/sexual orientation etc.It is actually Uranus in 1st that has me come across to those in my life(and those who don't know me) as a "fireball". And its had mixed results. But it shows no signs of slowing down. Kannon McAfeeWhy frame it as 'bad'?Why not understand what it's about?Uranus's transit through the 1st house times changes in which the higher mind and desire for further reaching connections and more spontaneous living can be patterned into your life. This disrupts the pattern of a life hinged too much on safety and security and introduces the need for freedom and the value of spontaneity. Of course, that means a current relationship of a co-dependent nature can have its pattern disrupted for good, but it can stay intact if there is a meeting of the minds and hearts rather than separation. That brings up what the unhealthy and sometimes temporarily necessary dynamic of Uranus is -- separatism, false notions of independence, rebellion. Important if a relationship is suffocating or abusive. Problematic if an already over-active ego becomes inflamed by skewed notions of independence and freedom.A lot of this dynamic really depends on what kind of aspects it makes to natal planets and in what sequence.------------------"Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan WattsSoul Stars Astrology by The Declinations GuyExpert Rectificationsquirrel quote:Originally posted by YellowGerbera:I got this permanently lol! Maybe because my 7th house is empty? Same here. Uranus sits right on the Asc. My relationships are unstable and I know they will never be quite normal. I am also tired of being disappointed because everytime I decide to settle down something happens. So the best thing is not to expect anything and to be prepared to everything. It's like waiting for the next battle to fight. Always anxious, wired and ready.RandallThank you, Kannon.
Correct? What are your experiences?
I think unexpectedness is pretty common in my life so I learned to not expect anything cuz I got tired to get disappointed
Relationship-wise, it's not as spontaneous or unstable though... Maybe because my 7th house is empty?
I also have it conjunct my ascendant natally, and it probably explains the sudden changes in relationships in general.
