Hemilla | So i was reading something about my moon in 8th and i found husdbands money being mentioned - apparantly when you have moon in 8th (other peoples money) its a sign of him being neither rich or poor. But i was wondering - wich would mean that he will be rich? A Jupiter there? What would aspects and rulling planet of 8th do?
If you are married does your husdbands/wifes finances reflect on your chart? |
Starish | Part of Fortune in 7th house I read... |
athenegoddess | I have Jupiter in the 8th In Taurus. And POF exact conjunct 7th house cusp. And the guy I will be with has alot of money. |
Hemilla | there it goes,Jupiter in 8th chek |
aquagembaby | I have Jupiter in 8H, but I also have Chiron and SN in 8H so I haven't experienced any "rich" partners. Though they are never broke either. But then again, I don't ever ask them for anything. |
PixieJane | I would think it would be more of what she (he?) looks for or considers important rather than that's who she'd marry. (As many girls around me were told growing up, it's just as easy to fall in love with a rich guy than a poor guy, so hang around the rich guys...never mind that plenty of rich guys will use you and lose you before marrying someone in his own income bracket that he can relate to better. Actually, I've heard of upper class women using lower class men as a lark, and even just for sex where she doesn't have to worry about her friends learning about her experimentation, before discarding them as well.) As a rule of thumb, people marry in their own class and income bracket, or at least close to it. This isn't just because they spend the most time together and can relate to each other the easiest, but men generally don't want a gold digger (if he does, then there's probably a good reason for women he tries to impress with money to RUN). There are always exceptions, but it's not something I'd count on or take seriously beyond a "we'll see" just because of something like an 8H moon. |
Hemilla | Yes but i am wondering can it be seen , golddigers or not,is it "written in their destiny"? |
Sylven | Hilarious! I thought of someone, she is together with someone rich ish. She has Jupiter in 8th!! I just checked!! I have always thought of her as "might she be a gold digger?" But it can be possible that this "just" happened to her. She wasn't rich herself when they partnered up. In fact he was still married when they clicked. I am glad I have part of fortune in 8th and Jupiter in 2nd. Always enough money! Not rich but enough. |
margym0o | I see the tendency to be a "gold digger" as more than just the luck of having a beneficiary planet in a particular house. Someone who has a fairly "easy" chart for instance - full of trines - may have less motivation or raw drive to succeed in life overall and may take the easy way out if someone offers them the option to say, not work or work very little. Someone with a Leo Venus may appreciate being showered with gifts. Someone with Taurus placements may prize money/possessions above most things and may find ways to accumulate/hoard money or take advantage of someone else's good fortune/inheritance and treat it as their own. Someone with Pisces placements may end up, through no fault of their own, falling for someone who simply takes advantage of them and may not see clearly the situation they've gotten themselves into. These are very broad, sweeping statements and obviously there are exceptions and alternative descriptions to these placements. I see it too as sometimes being a result of how someone is raised (which can enhance certain aspects). If you are raised in a materialistic household then you might seek this on an instinctual level because it is comfortable and familiar (or rebel against it for the same reasons). You may also seek it if you were NOT raised with "things" because you desperately want to experience how the "other half" lives and think it is the key to happiness.

athenegoddess | It not about being a gold digger. Its about being with someone who has a lot of money.. not necessarily that you are looking for it, but it just happens. |

Oooohhh, I have that.

YellowGerbera | Is this in Synastry? I'm surprised 8th house is mentioned here instead of 2nd! I have Jupiter in 2nd and my SO's Jupiter also falls into my 2nd (we are close in age), and his moon in my 8th. He has NN in his 2nd so he's destined to make some sort of financial establishment? However, he's not keen on doing business or becoming rich. :/ I wonder if that'll change...? |
yungang_grotto | I have Jupiter in the 8th and inherited money from my Dad. I also give it away like there's no tomorrow because Sagittarius is on my 2nd house cusp... but I like having enough to give... |

Sometimes the 2nd points to issues of self worth. His journey has to do with finding that, whether it's through money or otherwise... The 8th is the house of other people's money which is why it's being referenced here.

I'm interested to know your take since my SO's Jupiter falls in my 2nd and his Moon in my 8th as well. Has he brought you fortune? Bettered your circumstances in life? Has he caused you to spend more money than you would if you were alone? Is he possessive of what's "yours"?

Oh interesting!! It has cost me more unfortunately because he went through a surgery and multiple back injuries. Due to the nature of his job, he has not been working consistently and so I've been paying for us. It caused me a lot of stress because I couldn't afford to pay tuition And hence why I'm on here reading this thread and thinking... not rich aspects at all! Haha. He's not possessive of any material things but he's relaxed about money and maybe relies too much on his Jupiter luck? He's a Sag so I can see why he's always or sounds optimistic. I wish my Jupiter brings me more luck.. :/ |

Thanks for the clarification yungang! I didn't know 8th house represented people's money... I have an empty 8th house except Vertix that sits on 00LEO, opposite (2deg) Jupiter in 2nd house. |
