T O P I C R E V I E WAdrianaHow much importance do you put on the location and aspects to a dispositor of a certain planet? Is it significant, or just a slight influence? For example someone has Moon in Scorpio, but Pluto (ruler of Scorpio and therefore Moon which is in it) is in Aquarius. How much effect do you think Aquarius has on the Moon in this case? Like Moon in Scorpio feels secure with emotional intensity and closeness etc, and Aquarius its freedom. And how much importance do you put on this in synastry? I tend to keep an eye on itSikandaThis is interesting. To be honest, I never gave it much thought and I need to find more information about this, but it really strikes me. now that I think of it, if I applied it to my own chart: if my Mars is in Capricorn and Saturn, ruler of Capricorn is in Sagittarius, does it mean, first and foremost, that the contained, prudent but ambitious Saturn energy rules my Mars? And does it mean anything else? diamondbaby quote:Originally posted by Sikanda:This is interesting. And does it mean anything else? No, based on the dispositor theory Sagittarius energy has an effect on your Mars. Saturn energy rules your Mars because your Mars is in Capricorn, the sign ruled by Saturn. But this topic is about dispositors. So the sign (Sagittarius) that the ruling planet (Saturn) of your Mars sign (Capricorn) is in has an effect on your Mars sign.Mars in Capricorn -> Saturn in Sagittariusdiamondbaby quote:Originally posted by Adriana:How much importance do you put on the location and aspects to a dispositor of a certain planet? I tend to keep an eye on itI don't give much attention to dispositors in natal chart and synastry but in the following cases I've found them to be pretty accurate in my natal chart:Sun in Sagittarius -> Jupiter in LeoMoon in Leo -> Sun in SagittariusVenus in Sagittarius -> Jupiter in LeoMars in Gemini -> Mercury in CapricornJupiter in Leo -> Sun in SagittariusElectro DGXWith dispositors, you will want to go as far as you can with their placements in order to properly determine how it works. If Mars is in Capricorn and it is disposited by Sag Saturn, then while the Mars has Saturn energies because it is in Capricorn, it is also affected by Jupiter because Saturn is in Sag, which is ruled by Jupiter. Now say Jupiter is in Pisces, then Neptune would have an influence. Now let's say that Neptune was the only planet in its home sign (Pisces). If this is the case, that planet can be considered a final dispositer, and if there aren't any mutual receptions (Merc in Sag - Jupiter in Gemini), then that planet has an overall effect on how the planets in your chart manifest. ------------------Aquarius Sun, Merc, Venus, Uranus, NeptuneScorpio Mars conj. Pluto is in 28 deg Libra so its not a final dispositor.. Close tho lol. CeridwenI find them very important, yes. Show how the energy expresses, maybe just a modification, maybe even more than that. About the degree of importance I am not yet decided. But well in my case definitely major influences. Well might be because, while I do not have personal planets in water signs, all my personal planets are disposited by planets in water signs, and that makes a lot of sense.Sun, Mercury, Mars, ASC disposited by Jupiter in PISCESMoon disposited by Uranus in SCORPIOVenus dispostied by Saturn in CANCERYep, that`s me, the contradiction between intellect and feeling.

Saturn energy rules your Mars because your Mars is in Capricorn, the sign ruled by Saturn. But this topic is about dispositors. So the sign (Sagittarius) that the ruling planet (Saturn) of your Mars sign (Capricorn) is in has an effect on your Mars sign.
