SnowCatcher | "They need to climb to get to the minerals from the seeping rocks or [their] bones won't develop properly." The goats/Capricorn's are made to be hard on themselves to obtain what they want. Ironic, huh? |

Randall | Caps make the best of friends. Loyal to the end. Persevering. Seeing the best in people. Spotting potential. They sometimes get down, but they never give up. Their lives are full of mountains, and they will make it to the top of each...one step at a time. The only way they look is up. Edit to add that Caps take their responsibilities very seriously, and that means being a parent is just as important as any other job they have--even more so--because sitting in the sandbox with their wee ones is as important as completing those work budgets and such. Caps know that quality time with kids is way better than quantity time. |
12muddy | Lol at first I thought it was a photo-shopped pic. I take the easy way when I can, I'm practical. But sometimes I choose the not-so-easy road, for several reasons: staying close to my core values, persona growth, looking out for loved ones' interests. To some other people, it may look like I'm just hard on myself and like doing things the hard way. |
SnowCatcher | Randall, I can definitely see that in Caps, especially with Cancer being their polarity. We could use more Cappy fathers (with strong charts) in the world today! Muddy, yeah I thought it was photoshopped too lol. We might be hard on ourselves, but the rewards are just as great... and I'm not just talking about Money |

polkadotstars | Capricorns are hilarious. My grandmother and my good friend are Caps, and they both have this dry sarcastic wit that is so funny. For example, my grandmother and I are the same height (5'2) and she always tells me "Go pick on someone your own size!" :-) |
Mergoatsun | Don't forget about Capricorn mothers! When I have children I want to provide the structure and every resource my child will need to follow their life's goals. I can't wait to have a family of my own. ------------------ "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace." -Dalai Lama |

I posted about my own Cap mom above, but then I edited the post. Needless to say, Cap moms are pretty awesome.

Cappi112 | Love this, and I appreciate the Cap Appreciation today! I feel like it's rare to see a lot of praise for Caps. People don't always know how to handle Cap energy. I think a lot of Caps are fearful at heart - I am, anyway. Letting others down or failing in some way is the WORST fear, and always feels like it could happen at any moment. Even when something goes wrong that is out of my hands, I take the responsibility. I have always done this. Being hard on ourselves is a way to counteract this feeling. I think for some Caps it can manifest the wrong way and become a need for total control. It's a lifelong thing to adapt to this, without letting control-addiction take over. But I do see a lot of this energy in my work. I'll have a failure, really beat myself up and hide away, only to emerge on fire ready to get a ton done - and I always see progress quickly when I hit that point. But it does not happen until I've properly paid my dues or punished myself fully. Haha. |
Faith | I am a workaholic sometimes. Not every day, obviously. If I were, I wouldn't be lounging about on this website. Then again, astrology is one of my main interests in life, and always has been. So this is the career I don't get paid for, yet. The famous people I share a birthday with are mainly poets, artists, musicians, philosophers. It's not a "took on the corporate world and won" kind of birthday. When I had corporate jobs, I was just confused about the underlying meaning of the entire business...is it ethical? Necessary? On the right track? It's hard for me to even push a pencil for a conglomerate force that I feel is going in the wrong direction for planet earth and its critters. I have no such objections to astrology. I can envision it enhancing the world and that's why it's easy for me to devote so much time to it. |
Faith | Not sure how I fare as a mother.... Definitely have my failures and limitations but what matters to me more than anything (possibly too much) is having a really strong emotional and mental connection with my kids. Making sure they are happy. I was musing aloud about possibly going into counseling work sometime, and my oldest son said, "That would be perfect for you, you're already a GREAT counselor to us," and the other kids agreed. And that felt like someone just handed me a big trophy. But there is so much more to parenthood than that. Like forcing my kids to eat their vegetables, when my Pisces moon is looking at their sad little faces and wanting to set them free of their broccoli. I have to be the vegetable nazi but I really hate that. So it's just a delight that my kids DO love some healthy foods like sushi and salad and fresh fruit. Whew.... Sorry for rambling, I could ramble even more except that is a Gemini Mars thing...and this is the wrong thread to put that on display. |
Randall | Good to see a Cap appreciation thread. They often work hard and are not recognized. |
Mergoatsun | Cappi, I'm the same way, I am very afraid of failing and letting down the one's I love. Faith, you sound like a good mother to me! I wish I had a mother like you. Randall, I agree, I feel like Capricorns are very underappreciated, we are really great people and are often toted stereotypical as cold, one-dimensional and heartless. However, that's far from the truth, we are so diverse and have really big hearts. ------------------ "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace." -Dalai Lama |
SnowCatcher | Glad y'all enjoy the post! You Saturnian folk are such an inspiration to me! |
StelliumH6 | I walked away from my Goat Man this past week. I miss him terribly that sometimes I just ache inside, but I have to value my worth. He is the most interesting man. He is full of knowledge and wanted to share that with me. He admitted he had insecurities, but wanted me not to be insecure about myself. He talked about "out there/deep" ideas regarding what life is really about. He told me that he does not always say what he is thinking - - such an emotionally controlled guy. |
Gundahar | Im a Cancer Sun, Leo ASC, but i have alot of cappy energy in my chart, since most of my planets are in cap. I even look like one :P I feel every bit of it randall and cappi. I myself did not gave that much attention to my cappy energy, but now, this beautiful thread gave me a boost and a big smile honestly. Thank you kindly! will edit later with some insight. |
