T O P I C R E V I E WSparklingSagHey allSo for some reason had not paid attention to my houses and realised my leo moon is in the 8th house. I am bit worried as thought 8th house was a super hard placement to have moon in?Any one know much about 8th house placements?Sad SparklingElectro DGXOMG THIS IS HORRIBLE LIKE SKDSKHDSKLol just kidding. It's actually quite the interesting placement. A lot of beginners to astrology will often freak out when something is in the 8th house because of the reputation this house has gained, but nonetheless it is just a deep, intense house. Having the Moon there is noted to be quite the position for the Moon. I have an 8th house Moon myself, not to mention mine is opposite Pluto exact, so it is sort of a double-whammy. Powerful, deep emotions often course through me as if they could cut the world in half with a single strike. The 8th house moon experiences so much that they are often well-equipped to deal with traumatic events due to their emotional endurance. Deaths may not surprise them like most people, yet a death of one that they hold very dear to them could possibly derail everything for them. Often is quite interested in dark subjects and the occult; things with mystery. Very powerful moon placement that ought to be understood quite well. ------------------Scorpio AscendantAquarius Sun in 4thGemini Moon in 8thAquarius Mercury in 3rdAquarius Venus in 4thScorpio Mars in 1stCheck out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com Gemini BluesPersonally, I run into trouble with 8th house moons only because I often find that they often will keep their emotions rather close to the vest. I'm an 8th house sun and Mercury, so I'm rather used to folks opening up to me about personal things.Find folks you can trust to share with so you don't have to carry the burden alone. My Leo Moon is in the 10th. It's a proud little kitten of a Moon 😊polkadotstarsI'm an 8th house moon person as well. Well, an 8th house sun/moon/mercury to be exact. I like the energy of it. It makes me a natural psychologist, I love observing people (in a non creepy way lol). I don't like fake relationships or fake people. I see people for their inner core, rather than what is on surface value. I think it's a positive quality to have. I am definitely interested in others and the 'other worlds' and I show my emotions when I at breaking point then I burst into tears. I will read up on the energy of the house. SparklingteaselJust the fear of losing the ones closest to me, derailed me. And now I've lost someone, I don't know how I'm going to do anything. Just a couple of months ago, I woke up panicking over the day when I wouldn't be able to call down to my mother, or call her or my dad on the phone, and now it's happened. I can call dad, but I woke up in a panic, and wanted to talk to mum - who is no longer here. I'm only functioning when I'm in denial. I have not been through this yet in life and know that this would be devastating. I empathize with how you must be feeling at this time. I know it sounds like a huge cliche, but try and take one day at a time and lean on those closest to you because that's what they're there for. You will have those long nights and moments of panic. I know the feeling of this when waking up after losing someone you love. It shocks you and at first it's awful. But keep noticing things in your day, your surroundings, the people around you, and staying mindful. Not sure if this would help but I just read a book called "When Things Fall Apart" by a Buddhist nun, Pema Chodron, and she has a way of approaching feelings/thoughts with a gentle perception. It can help you understand and process these emotions, perhaps help along the path to acceptance. Her writing is honest, funny at times, but simplistic in the best way. It's helping me to stay in the moment in my life now.If you want, look into it, fairly cheap as well.Wishing you the best and to stay present as much as you can.Hemillai have it too,i am kinda afraid of it too, mine is also a pisces moon that rules 12th,so it stresses me out,but i think this moon with some other aspects i have is to blame for my interest in astrology, spooky stories and all those weird miseteries out there, even though i am afraid. My reaction to weird light on the sky few days ago was not me being afraid, but me extaticly trying to figure out what that was (it was not aliens or anything similar afterall) My problem with this moon is opposition it has with mars,if someones mercury is on my mars, and therfore opposes my moon their comments can really hurt. Faith^ Same. 8H Pisces moon rules 12H. Oddly when I was young I had a lot of experiences with death, ghosts, and spirits. Even now, my house seems to be haunted, but there is nothing really sensational about that to me, because I've been haunted most of my life. A few years ago I had an experience with an unfriendly spirit that was probably the hardest thing I ever dealt with, and it cured me of any last remnant of disbelief I had, that dark spirits exist and inflict damage on people. And now afterwards I am grateful it happened, as it removed the judgment I had towards certain people and their "non-credible" stories. I'm just more respectful now. And I also know a little more about the world, I think.Might delete later Faith quote:Originally posted by Brendan34:Not sure if this would help but I just read a book called "When Things Fall Apart" by a Buddhist nun, Pema ChodronShe is really calming...I've only watched her YouTube videos...Relaxing with ImpermanenceDopGang quote:Originally posted by SparklingSag: I am bit worried as thought 8th house was a super hard placement to have moon in?It's nothing that you can't handle. It hasn't killed you yet so I doubt that it'll just jump out of the bushes tomorrow and get you. You can use it to make some sense out of who you already know yourself to be.
