T O P I C R E V I E Wthegrinning_cateditflorenceNot sure if this counts but Chiron sits on a natal t-square and when that's activated as banal as it sounds .. I just have to breathe through it, ride the pain. I really do feel like Chiron cleans out things though. Sometimes in the cleaning the wound looks and feels more painful but it's better too. I don't think wounds do heal with Chiron but I do believe it brings rewards if looked at from a certain perspective. It's very close to the soul, I feel. thegrinning_catThank you for that insight, Florence! Do you think your natal Chiron Constellation makes you more aware of pain in general?Like believing that pain is a fundamental experience that is central to life and cannot be avoided?I'm asking because I met somebody, who was really addicted to pain and the whole concept of it...Chiron was sitting on a T-Square to his Sun/Venus Conjunction in Cancer.Squared by Saturn in Libra.....We had a big fight, because he told me that pain is always stronger than love...or that there would be no love without pain(which might be true, but only if you don't have a spiritual concept of love)GemmiIs Chiron strong in your natal chart? What are your experiences with Chiron transits in general?I can feel Chiron transits but I know people who are not affected at all. Chiron makes several hard aspects in my natal chart. In years 2012-2015 Chiron was triggering my natal T square involving several planets and angles. Transits involved the angular houses. It first opposed my natal Venus, then square MC and Moon, finally opposed ASC and Sun. It is now squaring my Neptune. Chiron was making these transits from 6th/7th house. It was a VERY difficult time indeed. My professional and personal life were most affected by these transits. I don’t want to go into details but basically my career and personal relationships completely collapsed and my life was put on hold. I had no major health issues, and surprisingly – given that I was unemployed – no major financial problems. What I noticed with Chiron transits is that they feel very unfair and strike when everything seems to go smoothly. For example, a friend got a prestigious diploma that was supposed to open him many doors and increase his salary. He invested a lot of time and money in these studies. Soon after he got the degree, tr Chiron conjunct his MC and Moon. He got fired from his job and couldn’t find a job for months to come …Another example, a friend got married and was planning to have a child soon after. But as she had tr Chiron opp Sun she was having problems with getting pregnant for almost two years. Chiron transits are said to trigger painful life passages. I wouldn’t worry unnecessarily but I would examine your relationship with Chiron in the natal chart and in previous transits and try to understand where the problems might potentially come from, if they do. Painful as they might be, Chiron transits can teach you a great lesson and if you make an effort to understand it, they will make you a better person. bananaz^^^Agree with Gemmi about the unfairnessWhen my brother died, chiron was exactly conjunct my natal mercury, which squares Uranus. An unexpected death.I can't give you advice on how to deal with it because I dont yet understand chirons ways. They call it the wounded healer, but I have yet to notice the healing part.Kannon McAfeeChiron transits are inconsequential compared to planets, especially the outer ones. And there's nothing to be scared of in astrology. There is no bogeyman behind any planet (or asteroid). Chiron was certainly not a bogeyman. Read his myth.Chiron was a healer, not wounder. Chiron is healing, not 'pain.'Chiron has been in transit opposite my Asc this past year. My wife and I are still married and good with each other. When Chiron transited to my natal Moon around 13-14 years ago (and squared my Uranus first) nothing bad happened. If we insist on negative reductionisms like Chiron = pain, then no matter where we go from there, there is a bad result expected. Question such reductionism, and ask yourself if astrologers were reasonably well informed on transits and birth charts before such asteroids were discovered.Going into a mindset of fear is way worse than anything a Chiron transit would bring if you were simply to go on living unaware of it. Astrology is a language relying on particular information and we cannot process relevant information in this language if we are unable to reason clearly, which means staying clear of fear-based thinking.------------------The Declinations GuyRising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓
