T O P I C R E V I E WabrightfutureaheadHello everyone. I've decided after all these years of studying astrology at home for my own benefit that my passion should be put to practice, and have now started training to become a certified and accredited astrologer in modern western teachings. I am very excited to be gaining my diploma and see how much my years of home study has enabled me to give readings to others. Astrology has benefited me greatly, while counselling and medication could not help me understand myself. Any tips anyone has for me for my journey would be appreciated. And if the forum allows I would love to do interpretations for anyone to help build my confidence and test my skills. At the moment I have only done a few readings for friends. I am still by all means an amateur with ambition and wanting to spend years to come learning more about this beautiful knowledge Ami AnneFind your passion in Astrology. Find that area you love and it will be pretty easy to study. Study those things that seem to be next on your path, too. If a have a client who comes to me for a Yod and I am not up on Yods, I study, study, study them. Also, you have to DO charts as much as you can, as you are, because the DOING is the learning. I do charts that allow me to really get to know and get very close to my clients. It takes me up to a week to do a single chart. I am like intensive therapy, so to speak. I am a Masters Level counselor so I combine the tools I learned here to Astrology. I have Jung conj the Sun, so I see patterns easily. When I am done with a chart, that person is kind of an open book, which is something we all need cuz then we can face ourselves. I found my niche by combining my personality with my skills. Also, I think I was born to be an astrologer and that sounds like the case for you to. I am super excited for you, my Friend.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Do your best to develop an even knowledge all around the zodiac, planets, etc. Study the whole sky and how the planets actually move -- include declinations in your studies and work. If you do, you'll be able to offer something 90% of astrologers don't. Flat wheel charts are inadequate symbols for what is actually going on in the sky.Trust your impressions and know you don't have to have all the answers for anyone. Just follow your natural leanings and offer your insights. Above all, be sure to prioritize the free will and choice of every person whose chart you look at. First honor them with that. The astrological particulars are all secondary.------------------The Declinations Guy> Expert birth chart rectification> Rising Sign Descriptions♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓MoonMysticCongratulations to you on thisnew direction in following your passion. I'm curious how long have you been learning on your own, online? I'm not certain of my future, if I'll ever be professional, I'm not a quick learner. (Late bloomer is in my chart most def) I am however learning basics and more about myself.(which I've never known her!) I liked reading both Ami and Kannon's responses to you. All the best you.
