T O P I C R E V I E WSunAscendantDo any of you experienced astrologers bother with your solar sun chart? This year Jupiter in Scorpio is transiting my 5th house in my natal chart and in my solar sun chart Jupiter would be transiting my 7th house of Scorpio; to me this would show me possibly forming a romantic relationship. My progressed, solar return chart and solar arc directions don't show any major relationship aspects currently hence why you don't need to tell me to check them, I already have. For those of you who don't know what a solar sun chart is, it's NOT the same as a yearly solar return, it's simply a chart where your 1st house/Ascendant becomes the sign of your sun sign. So for example, I have a Taurus Sun so in my solar sun chart I would have a Taurus Ascendant instead of my normal Cancer Ascendant.Kannon McAfee quote:Originally posted by SunAscendant:Do any of you experienced astrologers bother with your solar sun chart? I've used them in my readings and 'clients' found it to be satisfactory. SunAscendantTwo different responses. Interesting Kannon McAfeeIt is easier than any effort at rectification, there's no doubt. It is a device made purely for the convenience of the astrologer. However, it will give misleading information a very high percentage of the time based on inaccurate Moon position, inaccurate house placements. Satisfaction of laypersons is more a measure of the quality of personal interaction with the astrologer, not necessarily any measure of the accuracy of interpretation.I wish astrology texts and schools would tutor students in at least some basic approaches to rectification -- at least making determinations based on radix Moon position. (I had an astrologer tell me anytime the birth time is unknown a chart set at 9 AM will read accurately.) The standard texts seem to have nothing but shortcuts like solar charts, the 9 AM chart, etc. I reject both of those. The noon chart and dropping house positions is more honest if time of birth is totally unknown. Opportunity can then be taken to inform the native of the differences in a possible change of Moon signs/aspects. It's more honest and involves the client by eliciting what they already know about themselves and their lives, which can allow follow-up to tighten up the birth chart. Plus it buys time while the person makes full effort to get some idea of what part of the day they were born.Personally, I think each one of my clients is worth the trouble of a fully accurate birth chart, or at least my best effort towards a more accurate one.------------------The Declinations Guy - Expert birth chart rectificationClickable Rising Signs> ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓SagicalIt's whatever works for you. I was wondering if it could simply have any positive influence on my love life since Jupiter is transiting my solar 7th house. I def don't use solar charts for predictions since they are set to noon and not a specific time, BUT in this case I'm not trying to make a prediction to a planet or anything at a specific degree, I'm just try to see if Jupiter transiting a sign in a house could mean anything
