T O P I C R E V I E WgirlwiththerainysoulI would love to hear about your (or someone you know) experiences on this particular astrological placement and/or transit.Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences!hypatia238I have it conjunct my 11th house cusp in scorpio at 2d opposite Juno in the 5th. I am a bit antisocial although I appear social, warm and friendly but when it comes down to it, I avoid social stuff and if I decide I want you in my life you will be my focus, like when I do decide to be friends with someone they are like my spouse but without the sex. Like in high school I am the type to select one friend and plan my weekend out around that person always, my best friend in high school had moon in scorpio and the other best friend I had she had mars in scorpio. I always hanged out with her and slept over her place in the weekends. I had other friends but I invested in those two friendships really, for me is about the quality and I focus on one person or two mainly, I would go back and forth actually. I would sometimes focus all my energy on one and then take a break and focus all my energy on the other. Also there tends to be a sexual undertone or sexual tension to some extent in my friendships like my best friend is straight but at some point she wanted to experiment with me, I tend to attract that stuff a lot, that is one example.girlwiththerainysoulThis is very interesting!Thank you Hypatia!Aries23DegreesWent through this waaay back in 96. Transiting Saturn moving through the 11th house and we moved homes- no friends. None. Zip. Zero.I made a friend. But he had a strong Saturnine quality about him i.e he looked older than his years. And our friendship was short livedI was a kid. It was the start of the awkward teen phase as in '98, Saturn started in my 1st house. And I just felt like everyone could see how "uncool" I was hypatia238Aries23 you were NEVER uncool! you were always the bomb hahahagirlwiththerainysoul@Aries23 It must have been hard going through that no-friend period at such a young age, but I bet that later became part of who you are today.... Like any other transit. Thanks for sharing your valuable experience! LerenaSaturn was transiting my 11th house for most of its time in Libra, which was roughly 2010-2012, and some of its early degrees in Scorpio. A quick warning: I don't remember this transit very well. It didn't seem to have a memorable effect on me. The next time I remember Saturn transiting my 11th house, it will be transiting it again. Regardless, I'll talk about the transit as much as I can. While Saturn's transit through my 12th house completely murdered my sense of identity, 2011 was the year when my identity crisis actually began. It just wasn't that bad until Saturn began moving through my 12th house.A woman in 2011 evaluated me to see if I qualify for disability at my college. She explained that I don't have Asperger's Syndrome, just something else very similar to that. However, the issue was that I defined myself primarily through my diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome, so her stripping away that diagnosis and giving me a different diagnosis triggered an identity crisis. She diagnosed me with severe Major Depression so what I had left for my identity was depression. This meant I felt like a personified version of depression for awhile afterward.Considering the 11th house isn't related to someone's personal identity, my identity crisis remained as an issue until Saturn's transit through my 1st house.I believe for most of Saturn in Libra, my focus was on the different communities I was part of during that time. Sadly, Saturn in Libra was the last time my social life was that active. Saturn through 12th house completely destroyed my identity to the point it was impossible to interact with other people and all the communities I participated in dissolved, leaving me in total isolation for 2013 and most of 2014, and when Saturn was transiting my 1st house, my dominant focus was on myself, not other people. Either way, one of my future Solar Returns has a very packed 11th house. Supposedly, my social life eventually picks up again. I'm not sure if I believe that, but I do think it's possible. There was a major fight with my best friend in 2011. We eventually made up, but I will never again date a friend's ex and I will also never again do what I did that year.girlwiththerainysoul@LerenaYour experience of this transit is very unique and interesting!I think you have a fascinating grip on what went on in your life, socially. The average person might have freaked out with all that change, and also the identity crisis. It's actually interesting that this transit for you was linked with identity crisis. Do you have your natal 11th and 1st rulers in aspect? Or any of them natally aspected by saturn? Or your first ruler aspected by the transit saturn at that time? capricorncherisctyI have this along with Uranus trine my ASC and Cap sun and yep I have never really had any serious or long-term friends. I don't keep in touch with anyone from high school and they don't with me either. I have always thought it is so hard to make friends, I don't get how people do it so easily, but also I DO get it lol that Uranian situation where I am always surrounded by "friends" and just people in general but the reality is that I don't actually have many friends!girlwiththerainysoulDo you think Saturn in the 11th in general tends to not care about friendships that much? As in being able to do without them? hypatia238 quote:Originally posted by girlwiththerainysoul:Do you think Saturn in the 11th in general tends to not care about friendships that much? Yes but the friendships that I do make tend to last at least a decade or more and I take super seriously but saturn opposes my juno so that factors in.Aries23Degrees quote:Originally posted by hypatia238:Aries23 you were NEVER uncool! you were always the bomb hahahaYesss!!!!! A valuable lesson was realizing that a lot more people feel that way a lot more of the time than one will ever know.Loneliness is the motive for most people giving up on life. Saturn in 11th dries your sense of community and it sure feels permanent. You feel like you are an alien and noone "gets" you. None. Now imagine that feeling staying with someone for their whole life? Never mind the transit. What if it is someone's state of mind every single day.Saturn always reminds me to authentically connect. To "feel" the presence of life, to feel the closeness in relationships. To connect beyond ritualistic stuff. Get deep. Do what matters and leave out the fluff. So Saturn in 11th can be tackled by bonding with a niche market. Hold a poetry night session with a few select people. Streamline your clique and get to know each member more intimately.People who don't feel connected to anyone can choose to altogether disconnect from life all round. Lesson learned.girlwiththerainysoul quote:Originally posted by Aries23Degrees:Saturn always reminds me to authentically connect. This is a very cool strategy you mentioned about unique ways of connecting and bonding with others when you have natal/transit Saturn in the 11th.Lerena quote:Saturn in 11th dries your sense of community and it sure feels permanent. You feel like you are an alien and noone "gets" you. None. I feel like this all the time and I have Saturn in 3rd house instead of Saturn in 11th house. Well, honestly, I no longer care about being understood, because I suspect I'm at fault for how I feel thus i know that other people aren't the issue. Can I fix it? Maybe. I don't quite know why I don't feel a sense of community anywhere or even a connection one-on-one. Until I understand what I'm doing to feel this way, these feelings are likely to persist. quote:So Saturn in 11th can be tackled by bonding with a niche market. Even without Saturn in 11th, the "niche market" is how I get my needs for social interaction met. I don't feel a sense of community within these niche markets either, but I do most of my bonding around people that experience similar things as I do. quote:Do you have your natal 11th and 1st rulers in aspect? Or any of them natally aspected by saturn? I do not, but this is probably a good thing. The ruler of my 11th house, Venus, is the only personal planet in my chart that does not aspect Pluto, the ruler of my 1st house. Mars, the traditional ruler of Scorpio, doesn't aspect Venus either. Saturn also doesn't aspect Venus in my chart. It does, however, aspect Pluto. Saturn squares my Pluto with an orb of 4 degrees. quote:Or your first ruler aspected by the transit saturn at that time? I don't think so, because I have Pluto in Scorpio, so at that time, the next aspect from Saturn to my chart ruler was probably the conjunction, which took place when Saturn was transiting my 12th house. In general, I feel like Saturn has an effect on my overall identity. My Sun actually squares Saturn. Unfortunately, the effects it has on my identity aren't conscious knowledge.Since Saturn's visit through my 1st house, I've become a lot more serious and I have yet to regain my usual ability to be funny and my personal enjoyment of life has been affected. My sense of humor is at least temporarily mostly dry and sarcastic.moongaze quote:Originally posted by Aries23Degrees: A valuable lesson was realizing that a lot more people feel that way a lot more of the time than one will ever know.Loneliness is the motive for most people giving up on life.
