T O P I C R E V I E WcharlieIn general I don’t feel very deeply for anything. I do feel, but it’s usually not a lasting feeling. I can feel that someone is stupid but after 15 min I will think, and feel, nothing. I can also feel that I’ve been hurt but it’s not a lasting feeling either. OR, that someone REALLY took a stab at me but that won’t last either. I think indifference, status q or “whatever” would better describe me. Is this a typical Cancer trait? Solar_Leo_QueenCancer is a cardinal sign, which most people tend to forget. Cardinal signs are pioneering, going from one thing to the next. Ruled by the moon, the feelings change a lot like the tides. Cancer feels whatever it feels at a certain moment very deeply. But once that's done, it's on to the next feeling it can cling to.Also, where is your Moon at? charlie quote:Originally posted by Solar_Leo_Queen:Cancer is a cardinal sign, which most people tend to forget. I can be very goofy and un-serious. I can also talk deeply about feelings, problems, life and whatnot but I don’t exactly FEEL what I say, or think :-/ Solar_Leo_QueenOkay I think there's your answer. I'm dating a Cap moon. He has always struggled with his feelings, too. He can talk deep but not feel deep. He understands emotions through logic, not feeling. That's why I always say to him, it's easy to understand with your mind, but difficult with your heart. I am a Cancer moon. I definitely feel very deeply but it doesn't last long. I have Moon in the 1st. I think having Moon in fire houses can also give emotions the instability of fire. Are you a Cancer sun? Cancer in other planets are not very typically "Cancerian" outright. Like a Venus in Cancer would not feel like a Cancer to most people unless they're in some type of relationship with one. Mars in Cancer would also not show itself unless you look at how one goes after things or what turns someone on. I feel like Moon in Cancer is the most stereotypical Cancer placement out of all the other planets. That's because the Moon is in its home. charlie quote:Originally posted by Solar_Leo_Queen:Okay I think there's your answer. I'm dating a Cap moon. He has always struggled with his feelings, too. I get what you’re saying about the Cap Moon. I was very uncomfortable with my Moon for the longest time. I WANTED to be caring, feeling, nurturing and all that’s “supposed to be” Cancer but now that I’m much older (41), I simply couldn’t care any less. I do have a very hard time with Cancer Moons because I honestly can’t deal with their emotions. I find it grating. MahaKali quote:Originally posted by charlie: I’m a 11H Cancer Sun, Mercury, Venus. What aspect all these planets are making, not between each other but with other planets?Solar_Leo_QueenI agree with MahaKali. The 11th house influence may make you feel more aloof and detached like an Aquarius. With the 11th house, I find that the energy is more spread out so it can cover everything. That might mean only touching the surface and never going any deeper.I can also see why you would feel like emotions are "grating". They're like tides. One either gets carried away with them or stands their ground in the middle of the storm. Imo, an evolved Cancer moon knows that their feelings are only temporary and should wait to make decision when their emotions are not as heavy anymore. On the other hand, an evolved Cap moon understands they need to deal with their emotions just as much as they need to climb the social ladder to feel fulfilled. It’s just purely thinking. You could literally do something very bad towards me and I will be sad for a few minutes until the the thinking part kicks in. It’s all Groundhog Day for me and never really resolved! In terms of the “block” you mention. Perhaps...I’ve been in quite few situations when I was younger when people couldn’t deal with me, whether it was an angry explosion or deluge of tears. They always wanted me to smile and be happy and was told to “smile, for God’s sake!!! What do YOU have to be angry about??!!” So I just shut down a little. I think (not feel). SpicaHow you feel is not only dependent on your sun sign in cancer alone, but more by the placement of your moon in your chart. It could also be numbness which comes from depression, which is more accurately called “dissociation” in psychology. This usually happens to those with afflicted moons in their birth chart of those going through a difficult transit to their moons. Being dissociated from your emotions usually always an indication of something wrong going with the moon.------------------Spica Astro PredictionsProfessional Astrologer
