The only problem I have with the changed placements is Pisces being the ruler of my 5th house, but I somehow just remembered that Pisces is also the ruler of my 5th house according to Vedic astrology and the Sidereal zodiac. To clarify, I use the tropical zodiac and I'm not interested in Vedic astrology's more negative interpretations. Generally, the tropical zodiac is what I most relate to and that comes down to personal preference and my limited ability to get much out of the Sidereal zodiac. The negative interpretations seem a bit obsolete now, though I'm sure those negative interpretations are still relevant for some people.Admittedly, for most of the placements I listed, they make just as much sense as the main house system I use. I've only said that Placidus is more accurate, because from a surface-level glance, I associate the ruler of my 5th house as being Aries and have more reason to believe this is true. On the other hand, my reasoning for this statement is a bit shallow. I'm not romantically interested in Pisces-influenced people and the 5th house is associated with romance. Outside of romance, it could fit the other associations with the 5th house. On a less shallow level, Uranus in Aries made a clear impact on my 5th house and the time it spent in Taurus before it turned Retrograde seemed to trigger themes of my Placidus Taurus in 6th house. I cannot make proper judgment of transits for the Sidereal zodiac, which don't match Tropical positions.I'm not sure how much of my response I'm satisfied with. I did legitimately explain my issue with the changes, but I'm going to need to study more about Pisces as the ruler of 5th house, so I can go more in-depth with my reasoning. I just wanted to respond now to give a general idea of what led me to conclude that Placidus is more accurate. When I have more time, I'll type something with more thought behind it.hunnyb143 quote:Originally posted by Lerena:The only problem I have with the changed placements is Pisces being the ruler of my 5th house, but I somehow just remembered that Pisces is also the ruler of my 5th house according to Vedic astrology and the Sidereal zodiac. It's because this is where you're lacking more awareness on Sidereal Astrology. Not saying that as a bad thing we all lack knowledge somewhere. The thing is that Sidereal is not tied strictly to Vedic practices and tradition. Vedic is a term for Indian practices, while Sidereal is simply the scientific term that Astronomers use to study the stars above. An Astrologer can use the term Sidereal and still refer to most Western interpretations. But your understanding that Vedic and Sidereal are the same is lacking and I don't mind eelaborating at all, that's the whole point of learning from each other. But I apologize that I got offended by your wording because there are so many people who talk down to the way I do things before they even know much about it and I despise judgement like that. It's uncomfortable when people determine a belief system before fully understanding what they are rejecting.hunnyb143 quote:Originally posted by Electro DGX: what 🧐🤔🤨If anything Vedic, which uses sidereal, has been known to have very fatalistic interpretations.
