T O P I C R E V I E WMMarieWhat’s the difference of the 2 if there is a difference? DRVM614KI believe pisces deals specifically with absolutes and the culmination that leads to it. 12th deals with institutions, secret enemies, foreign lands. Both illusory, compassion, spirituality. I feel pisces energy can be easily accessed consciously. Leo-Cancer98 quote:Originally posted by MMarie:What’s the difference of the 2 if there is a difference? Great question! NadjaI don't have a whole lot of personal experience with planets in Pisces, and only a bit more with planets in the 12th... but as a more general rule I think of houses as a specific area of life where the planet energies are expressed, while the sign impacts how a planet is expressed. So, say you have Moon in Pisces, then your emotional nature is likely to be overall compassionate, gentle, idealistic... Moon in the 12th house on the other hand comes to expression in the area of the 12th house, which is our unconscious/subconscious, all that is hidden from public view, an area of isolation or confinement... (There are many different views on what the 12th house is about, but those are some common ones.)Dons2angelssI have a 12th house sun and venus in taurus, mercury in aries, and chiron in gemini (yes that's all in my 12th house) and from what I've read none of my planets act as if they're in Pisces but the 12th house description fits the majority of the time. Venus especially, rings true about being unaware of how I attract people. For some reason I always attract men who are unavailable in some way. They're either married or in a relationship, or they go all obsessive and stalk me. Real pain in the arse sometimes. It sits exactly in the middle of the 12th opposite Saturn so I'm just out there LA LA LA LA, out of touch with this energy on a personality level. The big difference I guess would be that I keep all things venus to myself. Pieces seems to want to share that energy and are much more sensitive about the planet that's in it. I stay extremely private with my personal... Everything lol. I have a very small circle of people I let get close to me. But you'd never know that if you met me. Pieces, Neptune, and the 12th house all share similarities but express themselves very differently, especially when aspecting other houses, planets, or signs. A cancer Mars is no less Mars, but it's the expression that differs. A Mars in the 10th house cancer will portray its energy in that area of life, acting like Mars with cancer traits. When you first separate each sign, house, and planet and get a good feeling of how each works independently then you can add each combination to get an understanding of how they work together. NadjaMy own Moon is in Virgo in the 12th house. Thus my emotional nature overall is fairly reserved, not very passionate or deeply feeling. With Moon in the 12th I tend to keep my emotions even further inside myself, hidden from others, sometimes even hidden from myself. However, the connection between the moon and the unconscious boundlessness that is the 12th house also tends to mean that the native lacks boundaries against external energies. Which makes this also a very vulnerable, sensitive and intuitive placement. Personally I tend to feel other people's emotions more strongly than I do my own. I assimilate other people's moods, mannerisms and modes of speach, while keeping most of my own emotional nature tightly locked away.Dons2angelss quote:Originally posted by Nadja:My own Moon is in Virgo in the 12th house. I reflect what is being presented to me and keep my real self miles down, away from the real world. moongazeMy Moon is in Pisces in the 12th house. The reserved and withdrawn nature of this placement is very prominent in me, but also the dreamy, idealistic, intuitive, and spiritual qualities of Pisces. Because of the 12th house, my Pisces Moon traits are heavily emphasized when I am alone in private. I need plenty of time alone in order to recharge, like hours a day just daydreaming and immersing myself in all kinds of art...anything that will drift me away into another world for some time. So yeah, lots of time spent in my head. Emotional avarice is something I have issues with too (this again being 12th house related). I find that Pisces Moons in other houses aren't as emotionally closed off as I am.MMarieThank you all for replies! I agree with having Venus in the 12th (have this placement) and being secretive/ private/ attracting not always the best people for you. I guess it acts out more in a 12th house way being hidden etc as opposed to feeling like a Pisces. Although sometimes I absorb others feelings and am intuitive for my heavy fire chart which I believe is from my 12th house planets? - Venus, Jupiter, Chiron (Pallas). Curious if 12th housers relate to people with Pisces placements. Or if there is still some disconnect there. DRVM614KNp. 12th house deals with karma and pisces being easily influenced. What ever is in the 12th will be carried out regardless of any outside factors. pisces placements can be molded by the chart holder or others. But what if it was tightly square Saturn? Would the Piscean energy still be doubled or cancelled out? vickymadnessI think Pisces planets gives you Piscesian qualities and 12H placements give you 12H related life experiences. Two different things from the way I see it.I have a packed 12H, along with the chart ruler, co-ruler and Neptune itself there.I experienced Childhood traumas, forced religion, near death & out of body experiences, lucid dreaming almost daily..etc.But I never think I have ever exhibited a Pisces-like quality. I am exactly the opposite. MMarie quote:Originally posted by vickymadness:I think Pisces planets gives you Piscesian qualities and 12H placements give you 12H related life experiences. I feel something is going to happen, but cannot quite tell if it is good or bad. Sometimes I see reoccurring dreams, numbers and life scenes but I can't find its correlation to real life.My 12H spans over both Capricorn and Aquarius.I would say, maybe I would manifest the Pisces quality while I experience such related 12H experiences but then my real character would kick in and go like "Okay b*tch, time is up! Back to reality"moongaze quote:Originally posted by Leo-Cancer98: I never understood the exact difference between a person who has Venus in Pisces and Venus in the 12th House, so this helped ascertain that Piscean traits would be amplified. I'm not completely sure, but it does sound like it would be a hell of a lot more isolating than it already is in the 12th house. Poor soul.
