T O P I C R E V I E WParallelToucanI'm just trying to get a better grasp or feeling on this energy or all of the aspects between Moon and Neptune, as well as differences. I can look online all day but until I actually perceive it from someone else, it's really hard to pinpoint from a logical standpoint. I'm a Moon Square Neptune myself, not about to go off on a tangent about that … lol, but, ummm… just basically trying to get a feel and figure out the major differences between all of the Moon Neptune aspects whether it's Moon Sextile Neptune, Moon Conjunct Neptune, Trine, Opposition, etc.... thanks a bunch! I have to learn not to get into so much of a lucid illusion myself. Just wondering what the "others" feel like this is like. Thanks for any responses. They're all welcome. Neptune is my favorite planet.implosionsHm, well Neptune is usually the type of belief in things we have- like how we think a harmonious world should be, how we believe we should treat the rest of humanity, etc. Also just our style of belief in general, how we merge with the rest of the collective. Neptune can be about idealism and delusion as well in that we can FEEL what we think is the best of someone (or a group of someones, ie the collective) but not always know how to ground or create that in reality. Ideals are great, but they're intangible unless grounded. In a square aspect to the Moon, that could be that said belief or lack of boundary with the rest of the world can be frictional with your own personal emotional needs. Perhaps what you need for yourself goes against or doesn't fit well (yet, as squares often work themselves out into dynamic problem solvers over time) with what you think the rest of the collective needs or how you see the best in people.ParallelToucan quote:Originally posted by implosions:Hm, well Neptune is usually the type of belief in things we have- like how we think a harmonious world should be, how we believe we should treat the rest of humanity, etc. Also just our style of belief in general, how we merge with the rest of the collective. You put things in great perspective for me and especially for Neptune. You're right that these imaginations need to be grounded too to come into fruition.Kannon McAfeeIt depends on how tight the hard aspects are as to how challenging they are.Moon = inner subjective needs, wants, subconscious memories, 'feminine half'.Neptune = higher octave of Venus, ideals, idealism, intuition, imagination.Moon conjunct/parallel Neptune = Moon's personal sensitivity is fused with Neptune's which is transpersonal; someone who is very receptive to intuitive impressions, a very active imagination, high sensitivity.Moon square Neptune = Moon's sensitivity in tension with Neptune's; wishful thinker; tensions between needs and ideals that can drive a person to create outwardly and/or suffer due to doubts regarding their worth.Moon opposite/contra-parallel Neptune = Moon's sensitivity in tension with Neptune's so that the dynamic is experienced largely through relational dynamics (even I-thou comparisons that are unwarranted and sabotage self-esteem); similar to square.Moon sextile or trine Neptune = creative and relational harmony between these two types of sensitivity so that neither is sacrificed for the sake of the other (personal needs vs other's or an ideal(ism) ).A lot of it depends on how tight the aspect is and what signs are involved. If a conjunction, square, or opposition of these happens in mutable signs, then vacillation and trouble making decisions tends to be more of an issue. If it takes place in cardinal signs there tends to be more initiative in the aspect, in using the creative potentials there even if that means mis-leading people or expressing greater confidence outwardly than is held inwardly. With fixed signs the issue of (in)security can be more pronounced, but the creative potentials increased.------------------Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations GuyExpert birth chart rectificationThe birth chart is a starting place not a pre-determiner of fate. Selenitei have the square: i describe it as: entities from other dimensions constantly singing / screaming / talking to me and i have trouble turning it off. i've thought i was schizophrenic but i think i'm just intuitive. hard time trusting my intuition, even though it's right a lot, the intuition can be clouded by my emotions. a need to really ground myself and clear my head, to receive the messages. also i have a TON of telepathic experiences, (also a reason i've felt i could be schizophrenic, but these days, i simply don't care if everything i hear is real or not). and 'telepathic' dreams, impossibly vivid and detailed dreams.drug addiction was a huge part of my life from like 13 -- 24. (i'm 25 and still have addictive tendencies)also an artist / musician, and often my ideas for projects come out of nowhere.. and i suddenly get a detailed picture / feeling in my mind of what i need to create, like there's no confusion or question about it at all (very different from my earth / air influenced partner, who's told me he doesn't work that way at all) .i had a huge lack of boundaries growing up, mother was unstable / abusive. so i feel the emotions of others too easily, as i was expected to manage them in childhood. co-dependency issues and 'losing' myself in people too. even today i have a hard time separating the emotions that others project on me, from my own.ULT12If Moon square/opp Neptune could be a song, this is IT!! imo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4lTMOmH8Dw "tried to save myself, but myself keeps slipping away" + the in-and-out 'warbly' sound effect ... at ~3min the 'emotions overloading me/waterfall-y if this makes sense + can't escape"(how I imagine Moon-s/o-Neptune to be) really goes in.. then at ~4min-End it's the aftermath, it's "well, it won. i'm submerged now." but still feeling it ..... idk I don't like describing music. The Singer/Songwriter doesn't have Moon/Neptune but he has Moon-12 which is similar. He also has Neptune-opp-IC IIRC, and IC/H4 is like the Moon. Also has a wide Neptune opp to Sun, so the "myself" bit could've been inspired by either his Sun or Moon. FireVirgoI have a 4H Moon trine 12H Neptune. I actually have a little confusion whether some of the things I experience might actually just be my 12H Neptune alone?Anyway, I’m really sensitive to my surroundings. I can easily pick-up on how others are feeling, without them saying anything. When someone is angry, it really rubs me the wrong way. And being in a roomful of people is often too heavy for me. What I do like is that I almost always remember my dreams. They are very vivid and usually fun. I rarely have nightmares. I love to sleep because it’s the best escape. My husband says I often laugh in my sleep; and sometimes I even wake myself up because I’m laughing. But oddly when I’m awake, I often feel like I live in a dream fog. Especially as I’ve gotten older. There are times that I will think about something and I honestly have to ask myself, “Did that really happen? Or did I dream that?” Starting from a very young age, I would experience clairvoyance. I also felt like I had a telepathic bond with my mother...and in grade school I would tell other kids I had “ESP” - I guess because I thought I had a special power...what a weirdo.I did have an out of body experience when I was about 7 or 8 yrs old, that I still remember like it was yesterday. And it was around that same age I also started to experience a lot of deja-vu. Not sure if that’s something that just normally happens to everyone though?Anyway, I don’t feel I can trust my intuition either. I am generally a very nervous person, so it’s difficult for me to decipher a valid gut feeling from anxiety. It’s only after-the-fact that I can ever say, “oh yeah, I was right.”dragonfliesIt's difficult to pinpoint the influence of Neptune/Moon as opposed to other aspects Neptune forms, but I would think that a challenging dealing with reality plays a big factor. I tend to postpone important things because the prospect of dealing with them gives me anxiety. I hide from them. Often enough stuff goes away, so this tactic is not bad per se. But sometimes it gets me into trouble because it steals my time. Sensitivity is my key word for this aspect. Like others have said. I'm very in tune with the atmosphere around me so bad environments will make me literally sick. I can't deal with cruel people. I think it's because I don't understand them. Or I don't want to understand them. They go against everything I believe in so I don't want them to be cruel and I'll leave it at that. Could that mean specific issues with balancing increased sensitivity (parallel) and need to bring things/emotions out in the open (Sagittarius Neptune) while maintaining a serious dose of privacy (Capricorn Moon) in a tight relationship between decision and action? For example never knowing when to let others perceive said heightened emotions or when to play the “Never explain, never complain” card?Somna7H quote:Originally posted by ParallelToucan:It seems like you all have a lot of water influences aspecting your Moon/Neptune aspects. I can absorb the feelings and feels like it's my own feeling, I usually will pick on my mother's fears, wishes and worries. I will act on it without her telling me, because I can sense it and it makes me very close with my mother, I love feminine energy and this aspect makes me very compassionate too, dreamy and I always have a dream while sleeping. Intuition is very strong and I can use it to sense people's energy.dragonfliesfor the square/opposition: feelings at odds with intuition. Does that sound accurate? Read it on another thread.
In a square aspect to the Moon, that could be that said belief or lack of boundary with the rest of the world can be frictional with your own personal emotional needs. Perhaps what you need for yourself goes against or doesn't fit well (yet, as squares often work themselves out into dynamic problem solvers over time) with what you think the rest of the collective needs or how you see the best in people.

Moon = inner subjective needs, wants, subconscious memories, 'feminine half'.
Neptune = higher octave of Venus, ideals, idealism, intuition, imagination.
Moon conjunct/parallel Neptune = Moon's personal sensitivity is fused with Neptune's which is transpersonal; someone who is very receptive to intuitive impressions, a very active imagination, high sensitivity.
Moon square Neptune = Moon's sensitivity in tension with Neptune's; wishful thinker; tensions between needs and ideals that can drive a person to create outwardly and/or suffer due to doubts regarding their worth.
Moon opposite/contra-parallel Neptune = Moon's sensitivity in tension with Neptune's so that the dynamic is experienced largely through relational dynamics (even I-thou comparisons that are unwarranted and sabotage self-esteem); similar to square.
Moon sextile or trine Neptune = creative and relational harmony between these two types of sensitivity so that neither is sacrificed for the sake of the other (personal needs vs other's or an ideal(ism) ).
