T O P I C R E V I E WitisokayI am water void except pluto in scorpio. None of my asteroids or planets are in a water sign. But I do experience emotions in a very enthusiastic and deep way. I pay attention to other people’s emotions and very succesfull at making empathy. But sometimes I misinterpret their true intentions. Do you think my lack of water makes me less of a intuitive person? Or do you think 8th house compansates the void? What are your general thoughts on 8th house placements? I have plenty of them; jupiter, moon , mars are all at 8th. mee_chryssathe houses are places, not energies like planets are. the 8th house could be occult, underground, seeing beneath the surface, death related environments, dangerous places, all depending on how the 8th house is doing by itself, which planet is the ruler, how the ruler is doing and where it is and which house ruler goes there. rainbownsideatornadoI have my sun, Mercury and Venus in the 8th House. Death is an energy I feel very comfortable with - I've often wondered if I should train as a death doula. It's a subject I'm very comfortable talking about, and the energy of death feels (to me) like the most profound, sacred energy I have ever experienced. I was once told by a professional astrologer that I need to practice Spirit Release Therapy (SRT) like some people need daily showers - my heavy 8th House can make me a kind of "portal" for people who can't quite cross over to the other side to attach to. I've also had a lifelong fascination with the occult, and also ended up working for a long time in the sexuality education field! (As I understand it, the 8th House can also be related to deeper matters of sexuality and deep and/or transformational intimacy.) I seem to naturally gravitate towards the taboo - death and sex, for example - and am very at ease discussing those things. Hope that helps! ------------------"The ocean never misplaces even a single grain of sand."RandallBump!RandallBump!MoonMystic"Do you think my lack of water makes me less of a intuitive person?" No. To put it lightly you're made of a lot of water! The astrology community has long had an obsession over water in charts being more intuitive/psychic. Ugh, it actually makes me disgusted how that sets everyone up to believe they aren't able to have these gifts. We ALL have them, it requires effort to get them established for some of us. Many now are finding theirs. Being in touch with nature is a powerful key, thatswhy witches always had capabilities in this regard. Nature being their modality. I apologize for getting myself snagged on this one point but .. We weren't always able to tap in as a collective because of culture etc. Materialism, drugs, debauchery and now technology water DOWN intuition. It's ego that limits and disbelief . Your not having water might make you more grounded, depending upon how much mutable energy you carry to offset that. itisokay quote:Originally posted by MoonMystic:"Do you think my lack of water makes me less of a intuitive person?" Still, I guess I don't know what intuition is. I am a very good observer, I pick up clues immediately and analyze them. In this way, I can say that I am farsighted. But I can only imagine what it means to feel something without seeing it. I believe that the water sign knows how to relax itself very well which helps them to meditate easier and foresee I guess.
