T O P I C R E V I E Wflorencecan anyone help me understand this as i think it is something i won't figure out for a while. i've read that often a person with this isn't able to 'shine' until later in life, the sun going down at the time of birth. that definitely feels like the case. i've also read this aspect helps you put yourself in the place of others and this is something i can now find as a strand within distinct from other aspects. but, it's more learning about asteroids and finding happy placements conjunct the asc and sun - i feel like i can claim neither, as if they are negated somehow. i have planet uranus conj asc and i feel a suppressed energy that way that has the potential to come out. but with asteroids, i'm not sure it's accessible. a spin off from this, a lot of things in my chart are contradicted it feels like. maybe this is looking into asteroids before i am ready. but, is this just an unfortunate pattern of squares and oppositions that the good have some fight before they can emerge, if they can at all?Ami AnneSun oppose ASC would make it hard for you to shine forth your identity in your every day life. Does that fit?------------------Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/florenceyes it does, that helps me understand it a bit more. like i just stopped engaging with people at all because i found what i said to people did not come out as me. but strangely .. i really like the explanation of asc as being something you can feel out in times of crisis, something you resort to. i always go secretive in times of crisis. but, in expressing my identity the part which doesn't feel like me is the taurus part, i feel that is my surface and i reject scorpio parts of me to others and pour over them in private. so from all this, it feels like a mirror bouncing back a mirror. does help me see that isn't so much negated as not expressed. another one i have is, moon is in sagittarius but is opposite jupiter. that feels like the same as sun opposite ascendant - that my inner-self is not finding expression. altho, i am not that into exotic foods which is jupiter so maybe it's just some nuance like that which is opposed. florencebasically my chart feels a bit oppressive and the only way i find congruence between myself and the outside world is by seeking oppressive situations. anyway, that^ is some learning i got from this. hope anyone else can share how they deal with things like that. Doux RêveFlorence, I cannot relate to what you say exactly, but I will say this: the DSC is our "shadow". Any planet there tends to be under-expressed, projected on other people, disowned. With the Sun in the 7th house, it's quite odd because Sun is our identity. That's why these people can often feel like they lack a strong sense of self, that they can't quite express themselves genuinely, like others are in the spotlight but not them. The thing to do is to try and own the energies of that planet, in your case, the Sun. It may prove difficult because the Ascendant is what we identify with more spontaneously, and when the ASC and the Sun are at odds, it can be difficult not to feel contradicted, or "fake". But you should try to just integrate your Sun's energies and act them out instead of seeking them in others or attracting people who will display those traits for you (as shown by the sign and aspects of your Sun).Moon opposite Jupiter may make you exaggerate your emotions and feel at odds with society's expectations of you.It can be channeled through creative, spiritual, educational, or religious pursuits; that way you can express your Moons using a Jupiterian outlet.florence quote:Originally posted by Doux Rêve:Florence, I cannot relate to what you say exactly, but I will say this: the DSC is our "shadow". Moon opposite Jupiter may make you exaggerate your emotions and feel at odds with society's expectations of you.
