My own Mars and Venus are contradictory on the surface (Pisces Mars and Aries Venus) but work well together. But don't go easy on to them, play a little hard to get. I have a Venus in Aries which does make me the type of girl to go after men (something unheard of in dating) but my Mars in Pisces makes me a little shy and coy when it comes to being passionate. Well that's what I did. I think a way to tell is if he mentions things to you about his family. They aren't really direct I think they really like to get a feel for people.
