Xodian | Welll... I don't have many of my final works on file ATM (Too big to scan Lol!) I have however a few of my random sketchbook stuff loaded in my photocucket . So first off: Did this one random morning after playing MGS. Don't know why... Just got the urge to. Random pastal sketch while I was sipping coffee at a Tim Hortans one Saturday morning. Another sketch. I kinda scanned it before and after inking it since it looks good both ways . [IMG] |
Petron | excellent technique Xodian |
BornUnderDioscuri | Oh wow Xodian i love it. Do you draw from memory or by using a model? I wish i was that good, especially with the wolf/dog. Cant do animals for my life. |
Xodian | Thanks for the feedback guys . BUD, two them yes, one of them no . Actually MOST of my sketches involve a physical model of some sort Lol! The one at the coffee shop for instance was a quick sketch of a poster from a newspaper . |
BornUnderDioscuri | Thats really cool. I can do anything without looking at something else, usually another drawing. I get my ideas by combining things and figures. |
Xodian | I totally recommend scratch art or Block printing to you . I tried scratch art and totally loved it. Its perfect for simple sketches and hatching techniques. |
BornUnderDioscuri | Actually i gave my friend some scratch art for her bday and she had us do it together. I thought it was rather cool. Now what is block printing? I mostly do watercolor and pencil. I posted some of the stuff in this forum. Im very self concious though. |
Xodian | Oh well... nowadays blockprinting has evolved to something called "Linocuts." What its is is basically carving a printing plate from a smooth Board and then using it to make prints . Here is an example: And I so look forward to many more of your works. Its always nice to see another artist's imaginative creations . |
BornUnderDioscuri | Oh wow thats really awesome! I always like doing different forms of art. Tried ceramics once and that rocked my world. Thank you very much for your words. Most of my art comes from looking at another picture. Like the first one http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/001420.html is a combo of 3 different poses in different pictures, i kind of used them as models. The last one comes from a gorgeous photo that I once saw online. Though Im mostly more into drawing people, thats why my building come out kind of 2-dimentional I look forward to seeing more of your stuff too ! |
Xodian | Sorry for reviving old threads people but I hate creating new ones on an already existing topic. Got a new sketch to contribute (more like a simple array lineart Lol! but I kinda like simple impression of sensuality it gives off.) |
yourfriendinspirit | These are truly amazing! Oh yah...You have a great talent. |
Xodian | Thanks YFIS . Well I am more of a simplist rather than going all realistic with a pic Lol! I am doing a protrait of a friend for my latest work. Will take a few days; and I'll be sure to put it up here once I am done. |
Bluemoon | Yiu are very talented. Xodian |
Xodian | Well time to post up the sketch I have been working on. This one is sort of an experimental try; Blending of digital art and the classical mediums . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Catapharact/undcopy-1.jpg |
MysticMelody | Wow, X, that was amazing. I was away from the computer and when I came back I had forgotten what I was viewing. I thought it looked professional. I was astounded. I wondered about the hidden eye, I know eyes are the most difficult, so I wondered if you were going to try it or hide it with hair completely, but the rest is just breathtaking. Seriously. Very very good. |
Xodian | Thankyou . Lol! Actually blame the lack of eye detail on the model . Breathtakingly beautiful but stubborned in her own right. Took me a bit of time to get her eyes right and I wanted a wink in the sketch since I don't get much of a chance to try out upper eye-lid shadings. Overall, I am pleased how it turned out in the end . |
MysticMelody | Wow, she really is that gorgeous too. You did a great job. I bet she is thrilled with your art and your portrait of her. I know I would be, especially one done so well. She looks artistic too. Great work, X! I'll absolutely keep an eye out for more as you post them! |
