SunChildAbsolutely ValusWow. Thank you. WinkAwayDAMN STRAIGHT!!You have quite a gift with words V!I was given a blank poetry book to write my poems in as a child so from the time I was about 8 yrs old I wanted to write poetry.I have a book filled with poems thru a child's eyes, but I could only wish to write poems that touch so deeply as yours..Awesome job,Thanks for sharing!!------------------"I'm selfish, impatient, & a little insecure. I make mistakes, I'm out of control and at times I'm hard to handle, but if you cant handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." - Marliyn MonroeAcousticGodI wish air was more like water, so I could float in it, move gracefully in it, let it envelop me.ValusIt is rare that I really get to float and be graceful. I often have to isolate myself, not just from people, but from television and anything too "busy", in order to get in touch with those still waters. Floating and being graceful is very airy. I thank my Aquarius Moon and multipli-exalted Uranus, mostly, for letting me fly like an eagle. Without them, I'd be earthbound; a scorpion. But, then, now that you mention it.. maybe it is the Pisces South Node, the Pisces Decan, Neptune, and the 12th house influences, that let me swim like a fish. Give yourself to that Gemini Ascendant, and that Venus/Neptune, AG! Float gracefully in your music. You know you do.MysticMelody AcousticGodI was originally going to say that Water is what we always wanted Air to be. It was a bit presumptuous, though. I've been swimming the last couple days in our heated pool. I love it.GypseeWindValus, I was curious.....pardon me if this is being nosy...but Your Little Black Book, where do you go to write in it? I'm always wondering about the process that other writers have:Does it have to be a quiet place, a surrounded by nature place? Can you write in large crowds, like on the bus/train, or restaurants/pubs?Do you (I do this) write in a kind of shorthand version in your carry around book, then transcribe it later to a more permanent place?Have you ever experimented with using a tape recorder??I have one, and I was all excited about the possiblity of using this at night when I get these brilliant thoughts that elude me come the morning hours (lol) but I never bought tapes for it. Consequently, there are always notebooks, scraps of paper, journals wherever I am. Valusi never put the tape recorder into action, but it always seemed like a good ideai just carry the notebook aroundand jot things down when i think themor if i cant get on the computermostly, i like to write at the computeri'll jot things down fast in the bookor on a scrap or somethingthen work them out at the computeri wish i knew shorthandsometimes it comes so fast andi dont have time to write it downtape recorder would be good GypseeWindI don't know shorthand, per sejust my own goofy version of it.I'm always afraid to put anything written on the computer, ever since I had one crash and lost everything on it.My brother-in-law is a comp tech and even he couldn't retrieve the stuff from it. I had been writing on a short story for a contest and it was...poof...gone.And my girlfriend lost all her photos the same way, by using a digital and storing them on a computer that crashed.lost her kids grad, the last few days of her dads life..again..poof!Technology and I, not such good friends.Funny story, I got fired from a bar job once for "taking notes." I've been working on this book forever on people at bars, and this one job provided endless examples. But the owners didn't like it, so out the door I was!Sorry for rambling.I say, keep rockin the paper!ValusSorry to hear that happened to you and your friend. I actually did lose two or three years worth of stuff, lol, when someone decided to switch computers without telling me, or bothering to back up my stuff. Sucks, because it was a time when I was writing fiction; short stories mostly. And I rarely do that, so I have very little evidence of that part of my creativity. Pretty much all I have from around that time is this unfinished short story: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dhbpnf2_0c75m8c quote:I say, keep rockin the paper! Thanks. You too. Rock whatever works for you!I've since gotten in the habit of printing things out, and filing them away, so I dont worry about them getting sucked up by the cybermonsters anymore. Also, my mars/merc in Sag shoots first, and then the square to Saturn in Virgo asks questions; I do a lot of revising as I go along, so the computer is a great help to me. When I try to do it all in my notebook, you see tons of scratched out lines, words wedged into sentences from above and below, arrows pointing from one sentence to another paragraphs away, and so on. Its tough, and its a mess. And, in the rare occassions when I seem particularly inspired, and the piece just comes down, already complete, as if channeled, -- when that happens, I can't write it down fast enough. I've tried my own brand of shorthand, but my handwriting is messy and, in that abbreviated form, I can never tell what i was trying to say. But I can type much faster than I can write. Computer works for me. Keep writing, fellow word-weaver. GypseeWindhahaI am picturing your paperwork. Have you ever seen Kurt Cobians journal book, I don't know the proper name of it, but I do have it. It includes alot of that writing, scratching, arrows redirecting. Madness, it is! Beautiful madness! I will check that link to your short story, should be interesting. Yes def print out your stuff. I am a tree hugger and all,, but I love my paper!Valus GypseeWindHey there;I finished your story, sure wish you would finish it.I liked it alot. You did a good job at foreshadowing with Macy and her face. But you didn't overdo it, which to me is much better. The characters and dialogue were believable, and well thought out.And your story was cohesive. Nothing seemed out of place, it seemed to flow very naturally. You seem to be interested in the idea of duality. I would like to hear more.It says at the end that you got too depressed to finish it. I was sorry to hear that. I hope your feeling better now.listenstotrees ValusThank you, Gypsee.I've had that story on my mind lately, and been thinking about finishing it.And thanks, LTT.I would have missed this. listenstotrees http://www.consciousmedianetwork.com/members/tfreke.htm Valusfascinating man"I sought the One Thing, but I found All Things."~ valus
